I had post-op radiation therapy for breast cancer. For 33 sessions, we drove 40 miles each way because Dr. Kini was highly recommended by my surgeon. The experience was worth every mile. The office is clean, comfortable, well organized and on time! I always felt safe and educated when I had questions. Dr. Kini and all of his staff were so supportive, positive and caring. I have so much gratitude for the care I received there.

Visited Dr. Kini for rectal cancer radiation. After 29 visits I came to the conclusion that in all my years in visiting different doctor’s offices for different treatments, Dr. Kini’s office is by far the most compassionate, professional, medical facility I have ever experienced. The facility is run like a Swiss watch. Friendly staff, clean and organized clinic. Dr. Kini oversees all matters and is very accommodating, personable and compassionate. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Kini’s operation.

I was recently diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer. Within 5 months I had surgery, chemo and vaginal radiation. I must admit when my Oncologist told me I was going to have this treatment I was scared to death. I went on the internet to look up side effects and listened to people try to convince me not to have it. However, from the moment I walked in for my consultation Dr. Kini explained everything to me thoroughly and I felt reassured. The procedures were not bad (I had five). The staff was wonderful each time I went. There is so much misinformation out there I would be more than happy to speak to anyone about my experience with Dr Kini. He is very caring, professional, and genuinely cares about his patients. Although all this is all behind me now I continue to have follow-up visits with him and am so very thankful for being referred to him in the first place. He is amazing.

I was referred to Dr. Kini by my oncologist. The thought of radiation to my brain was a scary prospect, however, from my first consultation Dr. Kini made me feel safe and in good hands. He explained the options and the procedure that he felt would be best for me and answered all my questions. It was his final comment that totally reassured me, "Call me anytime if you have any questions." The technicians were kind, knowledgeable, and encouraging during treatments. I always felt Dr. Kini and everyone in his office cared about me and my well being. He is continuing to follow up with me in case more treatments are necessary. My 83-year old mother has been battling head, neck and tongue cancer for many years and always received excellent treatment from within the UCLA Medical Center system. Recently, it was confirmed she had a tumor in her nasal cavity and needed to be “re-radiated”. It was originally explained to me by UCLA that re-radiation is a “delicate process and cannot be done by just any radiation team”. Nothing but good things to say about Dr. Kini and his entire staff. Prior to beginning radiation treatments for prostate cancer, Dr. Kini took all the time that I felt I needed to completely understand the two treatment modalities that were available to me (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), as well as the potential side effects / risks associated with each. He made no effort to sway my decision in favor of one treatment option over the other. The decision was completely up to me to make. The information that he provided me regarding each treatment option was spot on to everything that I had already researched on my own, prior to that first visit. In the end, for my own personal reasons, I chose SBRT, which was administered over five separate sessions. Each visit was completed in about 30 minutes, with the actual treatment time lasting less than 5 minutes. In other words, I was in and out of his office in about 30 minutes. As… far as the radiation treatment itself is concerned, I felt absolutely nothing. In terms of his staff, every single person in his office was cordial and fully respected my privacy. If you are facing the threat of cancer and you've been told that radiation therapy is one of your available options, I would highly recommend that you contact Dr. Kini to determine if you would be a viable candidate for one of the treatment modalities that he offers.

Dr. Kini gave me the confidence that I was in good hands with my radiation therapy. The experience at his office is the best among all doctor's office experiences I have had. After 42 continuous sessions, I can't think of one instance where I felt a need for improvement. Dr. Kini routinely took time to check in and was very patient with answering my questions. He has a large number of staff members who were always very professional, prompt, and extremely courteous. In a couple of instances when I needed a reschedule, the staff was very accomodative. Over the holidays, when Dr. Kini was out of office, I got equally good care with the Doctor who substituted for him. The Keurig coffee was always a pleasure at the end of the session. I am extremely glad that I was treated at Dr. Kini's office and will recommend the office to any one who has the unfortunate need for radiation therapy.

Dr. Kini and his staff were very caring, but professional. Was warmly welcomed and treated well during radiation sessions. Wait time depended on how many people were there ahead of me, but I usually did not have to wait all that long.
