Dr. Vikas Aurora, MD

There are not enough superlatives to describe how awesome Dr. Aurora is. No patient is just a number with him. He is kind and compassionate. He keeps up with the latest medical advances, so you are getting the very best medical treatment for your situation. He takes the time to explain everything in layman's terms, listen to the patient, and answer all questions while never, ever making a patient --- or their spouse or other support person --- feel rushed. I am in remission, but shortly thereafter my husband had his own medical issue arise that needed a hematologist, and it is such a blessing to know he's under Dr. Aurora's care. If you or a loved one are facing cancer or a blood disorder, Dr. Aurora is the one to have on your team.

The entire Grapevine staff was wonderful! Dr. Aurora doesn't sugar-coat anything but he is compassionate and emphasizes quality of life. He does not rush you through your appointment with him. He will take all the time necessary to make sure that he addresses all your concerns. This journey will be much easier having him in our corner.

I like Dr Aurora, he sends like a pretty good guy. After about four or five visits with him, he has a decent bedside manner and explains himself well. New to the area, I came in for an exam after long term remission. He talked me into getting a baseline CT, since it had been 9 years since my last.long story short, he saw something that concerned hi and wanted to do a PET. I then underwent surgery follow up CT. Ask negative and turns out that his office has an old CT for baseline that allowed his concern already was there 9 year prior. He ordered an unnecessary PET and CT, existing me to that much more radiation. This is a careless, negligent oversight and was enough to make me lose trust in him and his office staff.
