Dr. Vikram J Malkani, MD

This doctor is a danger to patients. He refuses to listen to the advice of specialists, is combative, abusive, and misogynistic to an extreme degree. My daughter has been treated by this man twice at Henrico Drs hospital Forest campus, and both times he endangered her. His medical license should be revoked immediately. Beware and proceed with caution.

I unfortunately was taken to Henrico Doctor's ER department yesterday after passing out at home. This occured after I returned home from meeting with surgeon to remove my gall bladder after HIDA scan from St. Mary's. My primary issues for going to ER was dizziness and nausea but was asked about pain which I have plenty in my upper right side and back due to gall bladder. I am also under treatment for Chronic Lymes and have many issues associated with this terrible disease. My wife is a RN and has an extensive background working in trauma centers. My wife attempted to get Dr. Malkani to speak with my doctor that is treating me for Lymes and associated issues. The doctor refused to speak to this doctor and would not allow my wife to explain my health issues. After several tests Dr. Malkani informed me that he performed CT scan and there were no issues with my gall bladder and he wasn't sure why I was dizzy. I explained that he was wrong and told him that if he would listening to… others or read the documents provided to him that may he could understand the issue. So, this doctor obviously thinks he is so smart that he doesn't need input from other physicians are he may could just be stupid. Not sure which one, but he is definitely a risk in practicing medicine and should be investigated. After all, why would a physician with 35 years experience be working the ER as normal job? Most ER doctors are those fresh out of med school and need to pay their dues and build their resumes'. Bottomline, terrible experience at Henrico Doctors ER and would not recommend Dr. Malkani to anyone.
