Dr. Vilma S Drelichman, MD

Dr Drelichman diagnosed me with a mental illness based on a medication I took in the past. The medication is also used for other conditions that have nothing to do with mental health and if she bothered to look at the dosage she would have seen that i had taken the dose for the other condition. SHE NEVER ASKED ME WHETHER I HAD BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH THAT MENTAL CONDITION, NEVER ASKED ABOUT SYMPTOMS OR WHY I TOOK THAT MEDICATION. I discovered the diagnosis by chance through my regular doc. She also labeled me as "an active drinker" for drinking three to four times a year. Yes, three to four times a year. I discovered that too through my doc. I called and they removed the diagnosis of mental illness but refused to remove the active drinker label. She must be living in the prohibition era. If I did not discover that I would have been labelled in their fies as a mentally ill alcoholic. Dr Drelichman ordered tests without my informed consent. This is a violation of the most basic ethical… rule. I had extreme difficulty getting my test results. I called and called and called , argued with the nurse, still refused to post them although they had the results. It took me forever and threats of legal action to get my results. That is a violation of federal law that mandates to give patients their test results. Told them they are in violation of federal law, they don't care. She probably thinks they are above the law. You are not guaranteed to get the test results at all. On their portal it clearly says that some results will not be posted if they :are " too difficult for you who understand." How does Dr Drelichman decide whether you are smart enough to understand your test results after meeting with you for a few minutes? Based on her mood that day? based on her prejudices?" I have never met staff rudder than theirs. I am from out of town and got lost. Called and they won't give me directions. Two people just kept telling me "you are at the wrong place, you have to come to this and this building" but I could not get them to explain me how to get from point A to pint B. The medical assistant is a malpractice suit waiting to happen. She drew blood and inserted the needle the wrong angle, the wrong speed and the wrong force. One day she will tear somebody's blood vessels and they will have a law suit on their hands. Why they employ her is beyond my understanding. I never had problems with blood draws but that woman traumatized me and now I have anxiety each time I have to have a blood test. This is almost surreal. So many things wrong with one place. Someone, please take her licence away.

Because Dr. Drelichman used the standard IDSA tests and not the ILADS tests, such as Igenex Labs Western Blot (more sensitive) my Lyme, when the symptoms started coming out (slowly) I was told I did not have Lyme disease and I have chronic neurological (tertiary) Lyme now and am on disability. So if you test negative for Lyme- BEWARE
