Dr. Chopra has extensive experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound guided injections, and various minimally invasive treatments such as TenJet® percutaneous tenotomy, Intravu needle arthroscopy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), adipose injections such as Mini-TC and Lipogems, and BMAC (bone marrow aspirate) injections.
Dr. Chopra earned his bachelor’s degree trom Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He then earned his medical degree with honors from Ross University School of Medicine before completing his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He then went on to complete fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Atlantic Health, Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey while serving as a team physician for the New York Jets NFL tootball team.
Dr. Chopra’s experience with athletes also includes serving as team physician for multiple high schools and colleges, previously holding a medical director position for a minor league system of the Philadelphia Phillies, and currently serving as ringside physician certified in combat medicine for numerous mixed martial arts events including UFC, Cage Fury Fighting Championships, and Ring of Combat, and various boxing events.
