Dr. Vinay Giri, MD

Vinay K. Giri, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Attending Oncologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Giri completed his undergraduate education at Duke University and graduated summa cum laude with research distinction. He subsequently earned his medical degree at the Duke University School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Eugene A. Stead Medical Research Scholarship and the William G. Anlyan Merit Scholarship. Dr. Giri completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Stanford University and his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. He has received research awards from the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the Stanford Department of Medicine, and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). He has also published first-author works in various medical journals, including the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Cancer, and Transplantation …and Cellular Therapy.  At Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Giri cares for patients with genitourinary (GU) cancers, including prostate, bladder, ureter, kidney, and testicular malignancies. His research focuses primarily on prostate and kidney cancer.
