Dr. Vinay Kapoor, MD

I fired this incompetent doctor after 2 visit for hyperthyroidism care. First visit was 3 minutes on telehealth. Dr Kapoor had no interest in looking at my complicated health background. He also just copied from what my other doctors prescribed me and said stay on meds and see me in a month. This was dangerous during that telehealth visit. I should have been sent out for labs. My meds needed to be monitored. He did nothing. He spent no time with me. Cut me off. Also mumbles so he is hard to understand. My second bad visit his staff made me wait an hour and half in the parking lot bc they forgot to call me to come in for my appointment. Also that day I was suppose to get an ultrasound. His ultrasound machine broke. He also spent 3 minutes with me and again copied off of my other doctor's prescription recommendations. He kept me on same high dose of meds. Bc of Dr Kapoor's careless lazy behavior I went into hypothyroidism bc my meds were too high and not being monitored… correctly. Also the meds my doc had me on were bad for me making my WBC count low which Dr Kapoor should have caught and switched me to PTU another anti thyroid drug. Dr Kapoor is negligent and lazy. All he cares about is getting quick eazy money from insurance companies while neglecting his very ill patients. What a Nightmare of a doctor. Thanks alot Dr Kapoor for causing me harm. Please stay clear of him.

I have been seeing Dr Kapoor for over 10 years. Through his care and urging, I have my diabetes under control. May issue is not taking care of myself, but though the usage of his supplements and truthful encouragement, I am in better health than in years past. We must take responsibility for our own health. Nobody can do that for us. Thank you Dr. Kapoor.

Dr. Kapoor is the best doctor there is in queens for endocrinology, he’s a very smart and knowledgeable doctor that cares so much and knows a lot and can you give you the right medicine to cure you. If you need a great endocrinology doctor in queens then I would recommend him.

Staff is rude and has limited knowledge about insurance. Very incompetent Billing Supervisor and front desk staff. Definitely does not follow patient/Doctor confidentiality.

I Love Dr. Kapoor, very knowledgeable, experienced, thorough and great bedside manner. The wait time is awful an hour or more and there is a sign up warning you, but what erks me is that they also have a sign saying if you are not prepared to pay your copay or deductible at visit there will be a $10 surcharge. Really Dr Kapoor please get rid of that office policy; people are willing to wait an hour or more to see you!

The Doctor is very efficient and patient compared to his front desk staff. Very immature and impatient front desk staff. Jas seems to be the one more competent to handle queries and concerns. She definitely needs to train the others.

Dr Kapoor is a excellent Endocrinologist, he and his staff were very courteous, listen to all my concerns, he thoroughly explained his diagnosis and new medications he prescribed for me. Excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Kapoor is a good doctor. His staff on the other hand is awful!! They don't respond well to any questions, cut you off don't let you speak, and are very very rude. You need anything from the office say a prayer because it most likely won't get done.

I've been to plenty of doctors, but Dr.K is simply awesome at what he does. He explains the problem, what there is to worry about, and what you shouldnt worry about! He performs a sonogram on the spot, and does not look to rip you for your $ on monitoring you on useless medications that you do NOT need!!!! Bedside manner is perfect. The receptionists are extremely nice and helpful. Awesome office.

I have been with this doctor for over a decade and he has help me live ( I was doing so bad with my health). I have yet to find another doctor that cares as much about his patient as he. I must admit sometimes there is a wait time 1 hr or more but that because he is absolutely wonderful doctor who doesnt rush his patients who need the extra time. I had a break down in his office and he just spent the time to make sure I was okay and didnt try to just rush me out. which is absolutely amazing. His staff do a great job of being welcoming and accomadating even though they are extremely busy. I read previous comments stating the wait time is long but im sure thats becuase so many people love him and his staff try an acommadate the patients as much as possible , as they've done for me. I would recommed him a thousand times over and over.
