terrible bedside manner. didn't bother to review my history prior to appt. told me he knew what the outcome of the test would be before even listening to my issues or reviewing the last 7 weeks of tests.

I saw several local GI doctors who refused to accept a local surgeon's suggestion that I had Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction (SOD). I was severely ill and in and out of the hospital for a year before I met Dr. Sood. I lost my job and was reduced to a shell of a human being at 90 pounds, fainting, in severe abdominal pain, malnourished, vomiting, and basically dying a slow death. My husband and I exhausted our savings and sent me to the University of Minnesota to see a pancreatic biliary specialist who performed an ERCP test that could have been done locally, but like I mentioned, the doctors refused to help me, insisting it was all in my head or would just go away on its own. I was definitively diagnosed with SOD, and treated. I later had major surgery (transduodenal sphincteroplasty) by an excellent local surgeon, Dr. Nigam with Albany Med. Dr. Sood has been my local GI doc and has listened to me and really wants to help me. I am a healthy 130 pounds and lucky to be alive.

Excellent bedside manner. Warm. Caring. Showed genuine concern for my well-being and quality of life.
