Dr. Vinay Sundaram, MD

I have a often undiagnosed or misdiagnosed genetic disease called Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. He was the one doctor willing to go the extra miles to find an answer to my constantly elevated liver enzymes. Since then, he has researched my disease, found other researchers and specialists to help me with a very overwhelming and incurable disease. He even emails responses to me, calls me directly after hours, and helps me get into see other specialists across the country. He is one of the reasons I will probably live a much longer fuller life with this pathogenic disease. I can’t thank him enough. Not to mention he is so adorable and fun to chat with and his level of intelligence and determination as a physician is probably the highest I have ever encountered. If you are scared or feel alone in your medical situation, you must see him. Even in the scariest of circumstances you will feel safe with him and you will never EVER feel like a number. He is amazing.

Dr. Sundaram is the most caring doctor I have ever met. He saved my life. Cedar Sinai has some wonderful doctors on their staff. My treatment in Hepatology has been successful, I have been monitored accurately, all my questions are answered in a timely manner. God gave us all talents, Vinay Sundaram has found his calling and I believe he is enjoying diagnosing, treating, and curing people. God bless you and your whole staff, Doc!

I am truly blessed to have found a doctor like Dr. Sundaram. I have a rare liver disease called PBC. Dr. Sundaram was the first to diagnose and explain it, along with put me on the appropriate medications. He always spends time with me, and is very responsive to phone calls and even emails. There are times he answers his emails in 1 minute! The only downside is there can be a wait but that is because he takes on the challenging cases and spends a lot of time with patients. In my opinion so worth it. I feel so lucky I found him.
