Dr. Vince Thuan Nguyen, MD

An "Excellent Doctor" who cares about his patients and  combines his expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss issues such as my  complex heart  issues and has kept me alive after a botched Stent placement by a St John's Hospital cardiologist by the name of "Hassan" that ruptured one of my arteries to my heart, during  a stent placement procedure, resulting in me to be on life support for two weeks I totally trust him with my life. And he cares about his patients including a willingness to listen and discuss issues such  setting out choices and options. He doesn’t mind my questions and understands my worries. The front desk staff, and the medical assistants are very  helpfulI and are a  professional responsive staff. I, "HIGHLY" and wholeheartedly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Nguyen is an okay cardiologist, but unfortunately he works in the office of Dr. Raj Bhalla who has the most unorganized and unprofessional office staff I have ever encountered in a medical office practice. We waited nearly 5 months to get a remote pacemaker monitor for my 86 year old mother. After checking with the office several times, no one could provide an update because only "Terri" handles those orders. Calls to the office were no help and the staff acts like your bothering them when you call. Finally after 5 plus months Terri calls and informs us that we ned to come in for training on the monitor. After informing her we have an upcoming appointment, she says she doesn't work on that date so she schedules both the training and Dr. appointment for us on the another day. Great service, right? Well, it would be except when we arrive for the appointment, we are told Terri has left for the day because she worked late the day before. What?!!! No one bothered to call us… and let us know. We could have come in earlier. She apparently didn't even bother to check her schedule, she just left. This is after we rescheduled everything to be there to fit her schedule. Totally unprofessional. We will not be returning. There are too many good cardiologists in Houston to have to deal with such unprofessional and poor service from this office staff. If I was Dr. Bhalla or Dr. Nguyen I would seriously consider revamping the entire office staff.

Dr. Nguyen is up front and straight forward, just what we like. He saved my husband's life from the "Widowmaker". He tells it like it is and wants to know and will listen to any issues relating to care. He will adjust as needed. Now, the whole family sees Dr. Nguyen.

Dr. Nguyen took time to speak with me and discuss course of treatment. Answered my questions and took care of me. Finally found the right doctor!

Went to this doctor after a long stay at hospital, Never once came to hospital. He spent a minute typing on computer did not change my meds and charged $450. Then made the mistake of using him again for a stress test. Charged 900 plus but the wires were not hooked up right, and the readings were all over the place. but he said since I was not winded I was fine. Wrong answer know the new doctor says that is not true and need new test.
