If there was a zero star, it'd unfortunately be too high for Dr. Rogenes and his assistant/gatekeeper Mandy for sure. Of all the reviews I have ever given on Google, I don't believe there's ever been a negative one I've posted. Because I value my time this review will hardly do justice in giving an honest appraisal of the horrendous services and treatment my wife and I both received while under this doctor and assistant's care last summer. Should you decide to visit anyway because maybe your PCP recommended, you will likely understand why it may be best to locate another urologist which we thankfully did. Bottom line, the bedside manners do not exist. His assistant Mandy hates her job and you'll feel like a complete inconvenience to her should you be so fortunate enough to get to experience her delightful personality. I kept thinking maybe she was just having a bad day, but the several visits we had proved her consistent behavior was always indicative of a very unhappy woman. … Best of luck in your journey to get quality, supportive, and professional care. In our experience, all those ingredients were missing here!

Dr. Rogenes is great, his office staff and nurses leave much to be desired. On my first visit the nurse refused to put my insurance through because 'she'd have to spend hours on the phone and their just going to reject it, you should just pay cash.' That is not an exaggeration, I had to get Dr. Rogenes involved to have my insurance billed for treatment. But the final straw was trying to renew my prescription, the pharmacy and I both tried multiple times a week over a four week period to have the office send over a prescription renewal. For over a month no responded until I told them I was leaving the practice, than I became a priority. Not good enough, save yourself the headache and find a different office for your medical needs.

I thought there were a lot of good and bad in my experience with Dr Rogenes and his office. His assistant messed up my insurance by not even calling my insurance company and wanting to be payed up front. Also, his assistant (not a nurse) continually told me that the reason why I leaked urine was that I had 'bladder spasms'. It didn't matter what the symptoms I gave it was always the same response - bladder spasms. In spite of all of this - and this was probably the most stressful period in my life - I do commend Dr Rogenes for the job well done with the prostate surgery. I still have some incontinence and ED but I do see slow but steady improvement. I also commend Dr Rogenes for taking the time to explain to me details of my recovery even though I was probably going over my office allotted time. I like him and if I had to do it all again I would sincerely choose him again.

Ok, Dr Rogenes has a rating of about 2.9, but if you look at the 5 star ratings they are all fake!!! They are all no comments. But if you look at the comments where people put effort into expressing real experiences, they are all 1 star. Please do not go to this doctor as you will regret it like I have.

I had a prostatectomy about 3 months ago and I am completely incontinent. That is not why I am writing this, however, because it is possible that over time I may get my continence back. I am writing this because I found Dr. Rogenes to be the most uncaring person I have ever met. After he took my catheter out, my urine just flowed on the flow, he handed me a 1 foot square piece of absorbent cotten as he was walking out the door and said I could be this way for about a year. When I got home I diapers did it work so I was desparate because I did not know what to do as urine leaked everwhere. It was a very dark time for me and his office would not answer my phone calls and help guide me at in what to do. His office staff are just as uncaring, and the only professional people where the billing department who helped me fix an insurance error from his aids. You would do much better going elsewhere.

I have had several interactions with this office (Plano) and the staff is just plain RUDE and very unhelpful. On a recent visit I was told to get a Scan by a third party lab... took several weeks to get set up then once the results were back they called to have me come review with the Dr. but offered only one day, the day after Christmas. As I am traveling I had asked for the 27th or 28th and was told "Sorry not available call back after the new year" and they hung up. No effort to try to work with me to get it in, no empathy, no information regarding if there may or may not be a problem...NOTHING! Now I have to have a potential serious condition hang over my head during the holidays... Thanks for nothing. they have no problem getting my money but could card less about me as a patient!

Horrible doctor!! I’m reporting him to the medical board.

Dr. Rognes saved my life, he removed a very large tumor from my bladder successfully, I don't know how to thank him, he is the best urologist I have ever heard of and seen.

Dr. Rogenes is quite possibly the worst physician I have ever had the displeasure of being a patient of. He completely lacked empathy, did not explain INVASIVE procedures before they were performed, and was in an obvious rush to get to his next patient, likely to make as much money doing as little as possible. While his nurse was lovely, he himself was in all ways- unqualified to be an MD- and I have many MD's in my family. If you are looking for a doctor who cares about your well-being, will explain procedures to you, make you feel comfortable, and spend the time to actually CORRECTLY diagnose you- do NOT make an appointment with Dr. Rogenes. Choose someone else in the office, or a new office entirely.
