By far the laziest, most obnoxious and most inefficient doctor by I've ever had the misfortune to encounter. Having done nothing to help, and having wasted months of my time cancelling appointments without notice and sending me to the wrong address, he's now charging me and my insurance for procedures he didn't perform. He should not be permitted to practice medicine - not that, in my experience, he does, but he has a license and is paid to just be the absolute worst.

This cretin has twice canceled on me with less than 25 hours notice. His golf time is clearly more important than prospective patients like me, who have been trying to get in for 2 months and have been cancelled on with less than 24 hours notice. If a patient did this to him, they'd be charged. This unfeeling creep literally violates his own rules in blowing off his suffering patients in pain. Should be fired and lose his license for refusal to honor appointments.

The staff is so helpful and comforting. Dr.Carrao is awesome. I have been bringing my whole family to him for years. He has done nothing but excellent work on all of us. Never had any problems. All of my friends go to him as well. I own a beauty salon in westchester and send all of my clients to him. Never one complaint. Always a great experience . I would highly recommend him.

I highly encourage you to stay away. I came in to have my wisdom teeth taken out Dr. Carrao said that as my case is complicated he could only do it in the hospital with a full Anesthesia. This was all false yes my case was a little complicated but didn't require a hospital... He even told me that my jaw might break and I would need to have my jaw fixed during surgery! I decided to get a second opinion from a private clinic who performed the surgery in his office with local Anesthesia and No jaw breaking! its very upsetting to think that a doctor ( which is the head of his department ) would do such a thing and I am writing to urge anyone considering Dr Carrao to go and get a second opinion before doing anything.

Does not follow-up with patients or get back to them

Caused me permanent nerve damage during a procedure then denied causing it. Outwardly a very nice guy. But accepts most insurances so his office is packed, like a factory. Sees too many patients to do an adequate job. Don’t let his charm fool you.

If you need an extremely competent Oral Surgeon, Dr. Carrao s/b your choice! Had 7 teeth extracted yesterday, yikes. The procedure was painless & quick. Myself & family are in total shock with the short recovery time. Except for some expected gum soreness, I was doing normal activities in about 2.5 hrs. Only took one pain pill since procedure - awesome! The staff is extremely courteous & proficient in executing their patient responsibilities. Thank You, Dr. Carrao & Staff!!

My first surgery ever, 4 wisdom teeth pulled out, excellent job on my teeth and very friendly doctor. He held my hand until I fell asleep from the anesthesia and supported me. I woke up in pain but he was there again motivating that it would be fine Highly recommend Palisades Oral Surgery. Overall the staff at the center were very welcoming and courteous people who make you feel right at home - also the promptness of everything was fast.

I went to Dr. Carrao to have my last wisdom tooth pulled, an upper one. I admit I was worried about pain after it was all over. Dr. Carrao was totally nice, and you can't fake that smile. He wore a white shirt and beautiful tie (no protective coat!), numbed my mouth, and then pulled the tooth in two quick pulls, one to loosen it, and one to remove it. After the novocain wore off, I felt absolutely no pain, not that day or later on. I would say I was very pleased. Good work, Dr. Carrao! Also, his staff was very helpful on explaining follow-up care. Everyone kind and courteous.
