Dr. Vincent Gianfortune

Almost 30 years ago, we did have luck finding 2 dentists who were up to the level of what we were acquainted in in Guatemala, where my dentist of, also, 30 years, was so good that he later was appointed Chairman of the Collegium of Stomatology. Here, we found Dr. Tobin, who recently took the final, never-ending vacation in the spiritual life, where his skills are no longer needed. For some reason that I fail to recall, we later became patients of Dr. Quyen T. Dang, another good dentist, who no longer practices in the area. Starting about 4 years ago, having again insurance coverage, it was back to pick a professional -and we started bouncing from one surprisingly below-standard one to another. Finally, the last one, a seemingly veteran Croatian, did such a "mickey-mouse" job on me that I had to start looking again, and was very fortunate to find Dr. Gianfortune, also a veteran Professional, but a capable, skilled one, as good as they used to be decades ago. He easily and beautifully… fixed the disgrace that this other person had done. I recommended him to my wife, who also had had a ridiculously sub-standard experience courtesy of one of the unpleasant surprises that I previously had picked; Dr. Gianfortune took care of her flawlessly, like anyone would expect. He restored my confidence in the existence of good Professionals, which nowadays seem to be quite hard to find. I recommend him without reservation. People tend to complain if they have to wait some time in the office to be seen. Personally, I do not mind at all: It stands to reason that when YOU are being taken care of, the amount of time required to do so may vary. How can the time of your treatment be set? It can/should not be: it takes as long as it needs to -nobody wants to be treated in a rush because of time constraints; you and I do NOT. Good things are worth waiting for. The receptionist -Lee Anne, I believe her name is- is super-nice. I, honestly, do not mind driving 16 miles -an ordeal, by Chicago standards- to visit Dr. Gianfortune.
