Dr. Vineet Mehan, MD

After performing a major surgery with muscle involvement on me, Dr. Meehan and his office offered only a single short post-op office visit and zero recovery and rehab support --- directly in contradiction to what my primary and other specialist physicians expected and to what I needed. I struggled with recovery and have not fully recovered from the surgery he performed, and I had to find a different plastic surgeon to consult about how to improve pain, range of motion, and other topics that clearly needed to be covered in post-op care by the operating surgeon and team. The in-hospital team from his office ignored my drug allergies, recommended inappropriate support bandages and exercises that did not align with the other surgeries and rehab requirements I was facing, and rarely responded to nursing calls with questions about the instructions. After discharge, the office staff denied they had a patient portal and sometimes even hung up the phone while I was on hold. Start to finish, I… have faced challenges with this provider that have greatly impacted my life for the worse---and for the long term. If at all possible, avoid this practice.

After having post surgical complications from another surgeon, Dr. Mehan was recommended to me and saved the day! What started out originally as an Achilles repair with another surgeon, turned into a huge infection leading to 3 additional surgeries with Dr. Mehan. It was a long two months of surgeries but he and his team worked their magic and got me back on my feet. I will forever appreciate Dr. Mehan and all he’s done for me! You are in the best hands with Dr. Mehan. Also, huge shout out to his entire staff - from the front desk staff to everyone else in the office. Every day I saw them they had smiles on their faces and were so friendly and knowledgeable. Great team and service all around.

Dr. Meehan helped me through the surgical recovery and reconstruction of a traumatic leg injury. Over a period of eight months Dr. Meehan and his amazing staff supported my recovery, not just surgically, but emotionally as well. Always upbeat and supportive, he delivered on his promises, explaining the processes involved and addressing all of my concerns. His staff, too, is excellent. From the receptionists who worked with my schedule, to the technical staff, who answered my countless questions, I cannot say enough about the knowledge, patience, caring and understanding of this group of professionals.

I was offered a free consultation when I called. Ended up receiving a $270 Bill afterwards. I had already signed the usual paperwork in the office before seeing the doctor, so I was stuck paying it. Person in the office said that there may have been someone new that could've given the wrong information. But I still had to pay. Very crooked.

Awful, cares only for money not patient

Watch out! He is not in network with any insurance company other than Medicare and Medicaid and will double (even quadruple) bill the insurance company. The insurance will pay what is reasonable and customary and he will come after you for the rest. I saw him for a 5 minute office visit after keeping me waiting for an hour. He charged my insurance company $1,262. Go to him if you are rich or have Medicare or Medicaid. I learned the hard way -- don't make the same mistake!

Words can't express my gratitude towards Dr. Mehan, Megan, his interns and his wonderful, supportive staff. After a very traumatic accident Dr. Mehan saved my vision. At risk of blindness (35), he was cautious in his approach during my orbital surgery. Double vision: resolved and back to 20/20. No scars and I look like myself again. He is the best!
