Left me with ED and in diapers despite the hype about dry by next visit. Promises not delivered, not even close.

Great staff and everyone was excellent. Surgery went smooth, never used the pain medication. The great news is cancer still gone after two years, the bad news is I have been in diapers ever since. Promises of quick recovery from incontinence never happened despite all the therapy and kegels after surgery I go thru 5 diapers a day. Erection, forget about that also. This is a life changing event and it makes me wish I would of tried one of the other options for prostatectomy cancer instead.

I recently had a robotic assisted total prostatectomy with Dr. Patel. I was extremely happy with the entire process and outcome. From the hospital, the staff and care that I was given. His skill as a surgeon resulted in a successful procedure with very little healing time. I had complete bladder control within 10 days after the operation. There was little to no discomfort after the first day post-op. I am very fortunate to have had been under Dr. Patels care. A big "Thank You" to him and his professional staff.

Dr. Patel is simply exceptional in his field. The program he has developed and spearheads at Florida Hospital in Celebration runs like a well oiled machine. From initial consultation and pre-surgery instructions, to robotic prostatectomy and post-surgery care, I can not overstate the high level of professionalism I experienced. I am forever grateful to him and his fantastic team of professionals. If you are considering robotic prostatectomy, he is the one you want. Thank you Dr. Patel!

He was very professional and ordered some imagery tests to give him a more definitive view of my case. Very “matter of fact” about the disease as I would expect out of a Doctor who sees so many cases of Prostate Cancer.

Dr. Patel is a very fine person, kind and extremely concern for his patients. His skills as a surgeon are outstanding. He performed an extremely difficult prostate removal on me and the results were outstanding. My PSA levels were extremely high (15-17)and I was very much concern that perhaps it was too late for me. Seven weeks after my surgery the PSA was below O.1. May the Lord bless this excellent doctor.

Dr. Patel and his entire staff are just excellent, from being very friendly, very efficient, and very professional in all aspects of patient care. Much to my amazement I had absolutely zero pain from my surgery, and I was up and walking a mile the very same day. Most important is Dr. Patel skill as a surgeon, and he has performed over 11,000 robotic assisted prostatectomy, more than any other physician in the world. My case was not a simple one and the cancer was upgraded from a biopsy Gleason of 3+4 to a pathology score of 4+5=9, involving one of the nerve bundles, and he was still able to achieve negative margins. If you have prostate cancer and surgery is the option you choose, Dr. Patel and his team are the answer.

Traveled from South Carolina to Celebration, FL to have Dr. Patel do my Prostatectomy. I am certain, based on my circumstances, if I had gone to anyone but Dr. Patel, I would not have had the same outcome. He is very humble, confident, but not cocky. Even though he is very busy, he takes the time to answer any questions or concerns and is genuinely interested in you achieving a full recovery in what he calls the Trifecta: cancer free, continence and regaining sexual function. His staff is also amazing. Bottom line, you only have one prostate and one chance to get it right; why not choose the best?

Dr Patel is a superstar -- he successfully performed my prostate cancer surgery this week and I don't think there is a better urologist on the planet in performing this surgical procedure!
