Dr. Vipul N Shelat, MD

He treated my migraines for years and I had nearly total relief from them after suffering with them daily for years. I wish he would move back to Louisiana because no one I've seen since can get my treatment right.

All about money. Wanted to stop meds that took years to work managed by another neurologist that retired. Nope not doing this again.

Do yourself a favor and find someone else. I also have had a bunch of test done, over and over and always come back in a month. He told me, "Im not the smartest guy in the room" i should look for a second opinion. BEST advice he ever have me. His staff was awesome.

I came to Dr. Shelat for a concussion. He ordered multiple tests not related to concussion protocol, refused to listen to my symptoms, diagnosed me with health issues I do NOT have, and then ordered more unrelated tests. DOES NOT LISTEN. I received no answers or assistance in getting better. Office staff was nice though.

Worst doctor on the planet.

I've had health issues all my life, and have worked with dozens upon dozens of doctors. 'Doctor' Shelat is the worst one I've ever dealt with. Period. If someone referred you to him, they are a fool.

I called and my docs receptionist called to try to set up a appointment. He receptionist was very rude to both of ur. I do not recommend he to anyone.

Dr.Shelat is a very friendly person but with a little bit of time I come to realize he milks insurance companies. I have hade several tests done but there is one that would help figure out what is wrong with me hasn't been done. I have a test done come in for results etc. Keep on doing this.... I do got to say his is nice but that doesn't cut it. I need answers so I'm going some where's else! Nice doesn't get it....

I was diagnosed with Parkinsons by two doctors out of state. I moved back to Monroe to be with family and went to Dr Shalet, whom I thought would be my care physician. He immediately took me off all meds that I had been taking and stated that I did not have Parkinsons. He also ran multiple, unnecessary tests. Three weeks later, I was in the hospital, unable to do the things I could do prior to that first visit. I went back numerous times, advising him that I did not feel good, that I felt worse than I had ever felt. He stood his ground and tried to make me believe that I was doing 100% better. Thank God for Dr Guillot, who saved my life. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. His diagnosis and stopping the meds that I had been taking for years set me back tremendously.
