To be fair, this is going to be a very old review. As I am now going through the process of applying for disability YEARS after I should have applied, I am going through all of the doctors I've had over the years and I will NEVER EVER forget the way Dr. Patel made me feel. As I see in other reviews here, I left in tears. Dr. Patel came in looking exhausted, sprawled his legs out, yawning, and rubbing his face like he had a long day. He gave me a very reprimanding talk about me changing doctors so much. I told him that I am just looking for someone to listen to me and have yet to find it. He then asked me how my marriage was and said that my symptoms were all in my head and that I will not get better until I decide to get better and that I will continue to go through docs because it's not them that aren't listen, but I am the one with the problem in listening to them. Well Dr. Patel, I've been meaning to write you a review for a long time now and I didn't think it was worth it. After a… decade of medical gaslighting and you being at the forefront of my worst experiences, we found out I am AuDHD with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I suffered for year unnecessarily because of doctors like you. I hope now, years later, you are a bit more open minded and less judgemental based on your own belief systems about medications and pain.

This doctor told me two lies to attempt to get me to enroll in a voluntary program which would presumably benefit him. He portrayed the enrollment as mandatory with significant repercussions (loss of my benefits, loss of ability to see Pinnacle providers in the future) should I choose not to participate. This was completely wrong, manipulative malfeasance. There is no way he believed that to be the truth. I addressed this within the practice and higher up with various Pinnacle personnel, so it is documented. Some of the positive reviews here sound totally fake, probably authored by the physician himself or someone seeking to help him maintain a decent rating. When you see glowing reviews without any particulars, beware. Product manufacturers engage in that kind of unethical behavior, but so do physicians and other professionals. Everyone will have a different experience with each physician, but manipulation of the order I experienced makes me want to say be very careful in your… interactions with this physician.

Dr. Viral Patel is very good doctor and nice person. His advise helps a lot.

I like Dr. Patel because he comes in and gets the job done without a lot of chatter yet he is personable and friendly.

He refuses to change the dose on a medication that is needed for a long term issue of depression. He also refuses to change the medication to something else. He says he doesn't believe in medicines and people should go without because if you can't you are a drug addict.

Worst doctor I've ever had! He told me that I shouldn't take my medicine because I should just be able to get over my illness on my own. He was rushed, cut me off constantly, was rude and not even close to understanding what I was telling him or what I needed help with. He is not the doctor to see. I would never go to him again and am looking into switching doctors just to get away from him.

Dr. Patel is very professional. He is very compassionate when it comes to pain issues that I'm having. He really does care.

A friend had an appointment with Dr. Patel and left in tears because of his judgemental attitude.

Dr. Patel is a very caring and good man. I would recomend him to anyone looking for a "a good family Doctor!!"
