Very superficial, not attentive, no compassion to the patient's concerns, irritated when needs to do more

She has about as much bed side manner as the pen on her desk. She never asked me if I had any questions about my diagnosis, was very cold and seemed to not care a whole lot about what she just told me. I would not go back to her for a hang nail!

Dr. Augustitus has been my doctor for over 5 years. I always felt comfortable with her and felt she addressed my concerns during my visits. Since I was basically very healthy, I never had any problems with her diagnosis of my health. During my recent physical however I explained that I had not been feeling well for several weeks, with intermittent fevers. The office has a hotline you call in to get a recorded message from the doctor. She spoke about 2 sentences, saying everything was fine, with little or no details. When I went in to pick up my blood test results, the blood count was missing. After reaching her by phone, she dismissed my concerns that the test was never done. Apparently she didn't think it was important to find out if I was actually healthy. Very disappointed and no longer her patient.

Dr. Augustitus was very thorough and attentive during my annual exam (wellness/well woman). She also went over my family history to ensure she had all key info and made recommendations based on additional information I provided. She also took the time to ensure her records were both accurate and complete with regards to recent visits I'd had with other physicians or diagnostic facilities (e.g., mamogram). She even took the time to recommend once again that I update my vaccinations (tdap) ... which I finally did. Overall a VERY positive experience.

This doctor was great when I first started seeing her, seemed to really care about finding solutions, and came highly recommended. That was in late 2006. The last few visits I've had with her (2009) she has been cold, distant, brusque, and not at all helpful. The office staff and techs are great.
