Dr. Virginia J Moody, MD

Dr Moody has been a HUGE blessing in my life! She works "with" me and she's a good listener. A group of medications were ineffective for me; rather than trying another one, I asked that they be stopped. She agreed. She is up-to-date on her information, and very knowledgable. Yes, even on the newly created diagnoses in the research! I'm a health care provider myself, so I know what's going on. She's compassionate and she practices by Evidence Based Practice, yet takes individuality into account. What more can I ask? I hope she's my physician until she retires, or I move out of the area. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.

Dr Moody is an excellent Dr. who sincerely cares about her patients. I had looked on line for someone in her field of expertise and she appeared to be heads over heels above others. I asked my primary care physician about her and he said he recommended her very highly. Although it takes around 4 to 5 months to get an appointment with her it is well worth it. She has been very kind and understanding with me and prescribed the right medication the first time. I had a life changing occurrence when my 24 year old daughter died, and i credit her with me still being on this earth. I can't say enough positive things about her. Dr Moody is beyond great.

Similarly to another post listed, I have not seen this doctor, but my mother has been her patient for 2-3 years. I am in awe at how casually she adds and changes medications. My mom has severe chronic depression and relies heavily on Dr. Moody to stabilize and help her. My mom has gotten worse. I do not live near there or I would go and see her myself and figure out what's going on. I have repeatedly told my parents to stop seeing her. She doesn't seem to have a personal connection or is involved in any way other than adding and changing prescriptions. I have very little respect for this doctor because nothing is working. She also has confronted my dad about advocating for my mom and has challenged my dad when he seeks another opinion. I have only negative feedback and feelings about this doctor's work. She is supposed to be helping, but rather is passively ruining my mother's life.

I have not seen this dr but a friend of mine has and she is a mess due to the meds this dr. is giving her. I know enough about meds. This dr. told my friend not to discuss her meds with her pr dr or the pharmacist. My friend suffers from depression and anxiety. When I found out what Dr. Moody was giving her I was shocked!!! I am in the process of getting my friend away from this quack dr.. She has my friend on anti psychotic meds and she is worse than she was. My friend has been seeing Dr. Moody for years and I don't even know my friend anymore. She is too afraid to leave the house due to these meds.. Her anxiety is off the charts. Dr. Moody needs to be reported!

I am a Nurse who has worked in Psychiatry myself. I have seen Dr Moody and I love her bedside manner, her compassion, her intelligence, and savvy. She recognizes COMPLEX health and social issues, and works with best BEST of intentions, as well as setting appropriate boundaries for patients who would rather "abuse the system." To her, I owe my deepest gratitude and respect in the Medical community, not only of our town, but of our state, nation, and world. Frankly, if every human were as wonderful as Dr Virginia Moody, I'm certain this world would be as close to a "Utopia," as it could be. My deepest respect for her compassionate Psychiatric Medical care.

Saw for years. Stopped seeing patients with only a phone message and no referrals.

She is one of the best Psychiatrists this patient has ever used.
