Great listener! Explained all my symptoms and treatment plan in detail. Has been a blessing to me and my family.

She ruined my life. She did not listen and quickly diagnosed off of one zoom call. She just gave unsolicited advice in sessions instead of helping work through problems, and tried being a therapist instead of psychiatrist. Did not make me feel confident about decisions or explain about the medicine.

Absolutely a wonderful human being and doctor! She is very proactive with treatment and always encouraging and knowledgeable, also keeping the patient in the loop about their treatment. She’s very organized and keeps patients informed on each step of treatment, including plans A-D, and gives explanation for choosing the particular treatment method, and potential future methods in case of any hiccups. She always verifies that patients are doing well at home, even going into extracurriculars, helping the doctor-patient relationship. She verifies that patients are 100% comfortable & happy with decisions made during appointments. She supports maintenance at home and will supply “homework” if desired, and other resources for support outside of the office. She’s the kindest, most understanding, and informative doctor I’ve ever come across. And I’ve been to a couple handfuls of psych doctors. She helps you feel accepted and understood, even if your mind can be overwhelming and confusing. I… will continuously recommend Dr. Diaz Fernandez, especially for young adults that need a relatable source of support.

I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Diaz for my psychiatrist for about 2 years while I still lived in Gainesville, Florida. She is caring, exceptionally bright, reassuring, and just all around wonderful. I still miss her terribly. She is a wonderful human being.

She is friendly. But during our sessions I felt she did most of the talking. I felt I was unable to express how I really felt. She needs to learn to listen more. During our therapy sessions she just gave advice. I know from previous experience that in therapy the therapist is supposed to help you work through the issues. Not just give advice.

Dr. Diaz Fernandez is friendly. However she talks to much during the interview. Instead of listening to the patient she spends most of the time talking. I thought Psychiatrist were different. She was also providing therapy sessions. She just gives advice. Which can be helpful but I been in therapy before and the therapist helps you through the problems not just give straight out advice. She needs to learn to listen more and talk less.
