Dr. Vishalakshmi Batchu, MD

Never would recommend her to anyone. Her normal response is to write you a prescription, no follow up. if you call the office with questions during normal business hours after seeing her with a health concern she recommends you going to the ER instead of coming in. Has unqualified staff call you with results so you never have an opportunity to ask her questions about next steps if necessary. Very unprofessional. PATIENTS BEWARE!!!

Dr Batchu and her husband are totally unprofessional. They do not have good office manners and they do not do well communicating prescriptions to the pharmacy.

As a self paying new patient, I spent more time registering to be seen with receptionist. Was walked into room only for Dr. Batchu to listen to my concerns with her face down, non attentive. Suggested bloodwork needless to say 120.00 later and 325.00 for bloodwork only to be called 3 days later from her office (not her) "Your bloodwork is fine" if you feel bad go see a specialist.

Dr. Batchu has been treating my Mother for almost 3 years. She is very thorough, listens to our concerns and addresses the issues at hand. Even though Mom has moved, we continue her care with Dr. Batchu. We would highly recommend her.

I went to her office with high fever. My heart rate was 120 according to Dr.Batchu. she ordered Stat chest X ray and started me on Levofloxacin. After taking a dose, I started having abnormal heart beats( felt like thump sensations in the chest quiet often). After taking the second dose , I realized it is one of the side effects of Levaquin. I called the office. Left message, a male person called back and said, I will ask Dr.Batchu and she will call back. After an hour and a half a female called and said, Dr. Batchu cannot change the antibiotic, " you need to go to ER, if you are not feeling well." I told her that I am feeling better, I have side effects from Levaquin. She asked me, " what side effects?" I gave her the same answer, irregular heart beats, and asked, may I speak to the doctor? She immediately said, NO. She said" I will ask Dr.Batchu to call you back."Never received a call after from them. It was 1700. I called, the answering service said, the office is closed. So… should I go to ER to change the antibiotics she prescribed? Especially when I am having side effects? Should I continue taking it even when my heart clearly gives me signs? I had asked the girl if the doctor could order me Augmentin, I have taken it before, she said she will ask the doctor. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SEE THIS DOCTOR AND FRONT DESK PEOPLE ARE USELESS.

I have been seeing Dr Batchu since 2016. She has always closely monitored my health and made sure I understood instructions. Her office staff are professional and always have a smile on their faces. A very happy practice, and I have been happy with her services. Debra Savage

Dr. Batchu was an answered prayer for me.Had very heavy issueswith high anxiety disorder and panic attacks with led to high blood pressure spikes which led to the heart issues.Last Dr.was not able to acknowledge my anxiety and frustration about the anxiety and panic attacks..which made me more anxiousand led to more E.R visits.Was suggested several Drs. names by attending Dr.at E.R (as I had been terminated by by physician for being non compliant for having worry about side effects I was having from prescribed medications which had nothing to do with anxiety).Viewed a few of names on website..and Dr Batchu'are views( and must say..kind face)led me to choose her.From the moment I walked into reception room I had such a calm come over me.No papers pushed at me..Very relaxed procedure with reception showing me the machine to sign in on ..and offering to help if I didn't understand (which I didn't at fir st but felt at ease with it quickly with her kind assistive manner...And..then it was… done..No anxiety or worry about not knowing .Dr.Batchu's husband was in reception room and spoke very friendly and couteously while my husband waited with me for my scheduled appointment.Also showed me how to set up my patient portal with much patience and assurance that it was no problem for him to help.I actually started to tear up a bit because the emotion was so heavy with the relief of how unstressed I was feeling.No long wait..clean..peaceful atmosphere with pleasant receptionist behind counter.And then Dr.Batchu. Was anxious in speaking to her at fir st because I always feel I'm'too much' for Drs...especially in the short time usually allotted to introduce yourself and your health issues.. She sat calmly .and looked at me face to face..and not at her papers or desk..Fitst Dr. Ago actually ask me"What do you need from me"..And then she listened..Have only seen her several times.. but she has checked my medications..looked at my heart test results for me..and explained things to me that the heart Dr.apparently felt only he needed to know as the Dr.Dr.Batchu has left me with a confidence that we.between herself(theDr.) and me(the patient) will work this out with followup..some tests..etc.Before I don't feel anxious or left out in the medial affairs of my life.I have a medical partner in this now..I feel assured of her knowledge and care in getting myself back in order..And..oh yeah..my heart was fine. I needed that knowledge to help me stop having some of those panic attacks..so I could then work on the blood pressure issues.. I will continue to see Dr Batchu as I feel safe and confidant in her that she cares about my well being..And of course like I said..She has a kind smile and calm assuring demeanour ..She gave me a new beginning..and it all started by me just knowing she was 'listening'to me.

Dr Batchu always know how to take care of my families and my concerns. She take just the right amount of time with us and is great at following up with us as needed. We are very excited and blessed to have found a caring Dr for our family. We have recommended her to our family and friends and they are all very happy. Dr Batch and her staff also do many great things in our community, which I love!

I have seen Dr. Batchu on 3 separate occasions and had to have multiple follow up appointments because she did not correctly diagnose and prescribe medication. After my last appointment, around maybe 11am, I got a call that Kroger didn't have my prescription. I said CVS or Walgreens was fine, just to let me know where and when to pick it up. A few hours later, I called back to see where it was called into. They didn't know. They'd call back. It was already 4ish, and I needed that first dose of antibiotic. I called again and they said CVS. I went to CVS, NOTHING WAS CALLED IN! While sitting in the pharmacy, I called back and it took over 45 minutes for the doctor's office to call in my prescription. My first visit, she misdiagnosed my bronchitis and it turned into pneumonia. I thought that everyone makes mistakes and I'm a new patient, so I didn't think much of it. But the second time I went in with bronchitis symptoms, I told her I didn't want the same thing to happen again. I had to… go in more than once to keep getting different prescriptions, paying the copays and paying for each medicine. It's not like bronchitis is some rare disease....A month later I was still coughing a bit, but went to my lung specialist to get a new inhaler. He said I still had bronchitis and gave me something that knocked it out right away. She doesn't know what she's doing. It's unfortunate, but the truth.

We moved from Sugar Land to Pearland, and I switched to Dr Batchu (with much anxiety) and she was wonderful, listened, knows her stuff, is proactive with wellness/prevention...I highly recommend her.
