Dr. Vishtasb Broumand

First off I want to take the time to thank Dr. Broumand and both his clinical and front desk staff for amazing service. They all go above and beyond in helping patients. My fear of dentist started at a very young age leaving me as an apprehensive adult. I heard about Dr. Broumand through several Facebook groups I belong to and he answered many of the questions I had. Knowing I was injured on the job as a police officer he agreed to evaluate me at no charge and offered me a slot in a class he does to train dentists. If you are lucky enough to be selected your cost would be substantially cheaper and affordable. Either way he will work with you. Four months later from my first evaluation I can smile again, have no fear of dentists, look forward to my next checkup, and have a new friend for life.

I brought my daughter in for consultation at the cost of $150. The fee I was given after consultation was $1300.00 more than I was quoted. The office staff said they had not heard back from my daughter’s father regarding payment...but was due to them writing down his phone number and email address incorrectly. I did not have a good experience at this office.

After having an emergency exaction from dr . Broumand, I developed a life threatening infection. I repeatedly called the office because the pain was horrific and had a swollen hard mass on neck and jaw. I was very very sick. Upon calling the office several times and told by the receptionist that this was normal. Just use a heating pad...Finally after repeated phone calls they had me come in. I was there 4 times in 2 wks complaining of terrible pain. Just kept getting worse. I have never had such pain. I have had back surgeries as well as many many other surgeries and never had I experienced any pain like this...The last time I went in I was once again sent home. That night after contacting him once again now about a fever and getting even worse, feeling so very sick I was instructed to go to an er of his choice..... Worst mistake ever. After 5 days and a neck surgery with drains inserted for the massive infection.. I went in for a post op to get stitches out. Before the dr came in I… was seen by an office person in which payment was demanded immediately for my inpatient surgery preformed by him at the hospital. Unbelievable... I had already paid him in full the day of my extraction almost $2000.00. Unbelievably unacceptable to approach a patient with that . Especially considering the circumstances.... my hospital bills were in excess of $70,000.... why he didn’t bill them ???? All bills had been paid 100% by my insurance.. but no, he made me submit a claim.. so now because of the way the claim was submitted by me they will not pay that $2,000. Had he submitted it, it would have been paid.. It was an er admission that he requested and a surgery as an inpatient...This has been a horrific experience. Had I gone to Mayo Clinic this never would have happened... go to your choice of hospital and NOT his just because he is on staff.. not to mention I never should have gone 2 weeks with this pain and infection before being admitted...Totally unprofessional... I will be seeking legal counsel...

Dr Broumand is excellent dental provider in his field of expertise

I am still forever grateful to you Dr. Broumand for saving me from a malignant tumor on my lower left jaw bone in 2010, Daytona Beach, FL. You had to extract several teeth and a portion of my jaw bone. You thought I would have to get radiation therapy around my Thyroid Gland and made me aware of the post operative treatment involved. The day we met you had an almost total body cast on from a very traumatic experience. I could not believe you could have such compassion for me while you appeared to be the one more deserving than myself. During the surgical procedure you biopsied the area numerous times in a four hour period until you felt confident that you had removed any and all cancer cells. I remember the day I returned to your office for a post operative appointment. I was in the examining room and could hear a joyful voice shouting in the corridor "where is that lucky woman?" You were so excited to get the pathology report and entered the room with the broadest of… smiles!!! You announced that I had no trace of cancer cells and would not need any follow up treatment!!! It is now 8 years later and my dentist, Sandeep Patel examined me and said there were no visible pre-cancer cells. Dr. Patel and Oscar Morejon, my DMD are constantly consulting to keep each other abreast of my chronic Lichen Planus which appears to be precancerous. God bless you Vishy Broumand and your lovely family. We wish you could be here with all of us Daytonians but know you are doing great forward thinking research for all mankind. Dr. Broumand was a great doctor, he was kind and took the time to explain to us the procedure and made us feel at ease. Would definitely recommend him to others.
