Meet Dr. Vito La Puma:Specializing in both surgical and nonsurgical treatments of a variety of foot and ankle conditions, Vito La Puma, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric physician providing care at Healthy Step Podiatry in Midtown East and the Financial District of New York City. With over 1,400 surgical procedures under his belt, Dr. La Puma is committed to helping each patient reach their optimal health. Dr. La Puma graduated from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, where he was premed and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. La Puma received his doctorate of podiatric medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He received extensive training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery during his residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn.Dr. La Puma has also received training in orthopedics and vascular surgery and is currently the acting attending for the podiatric surgical residency at the …Brooklyn Hospital Center. I’ve been going since 2017. Dr La Puma has understands some of us has short time and really makes efforts to get you in and out. He listens to what you have to say about your pain and explains the what’s and whys he wants to do to make you better. His staff is very friendly and always trying to make your time there better. Very few doctor’s offices offer the care and attention you get with Dr LaPuma. You should definitely check him out!
