Dr. Vivian Rismondo, MD

Spent 2.5 hours in the office for NO ANSWERS. Been wearing glasses/contacts for 10 years and stopped wearing glasses last year. over the year I've started having a lazy eye and seeing double vision only while wearing glasses. She had a student spend over an hour doing tests for my double vision. when i finally see the dr she leaves minutes later and has someone come redo the tests the student did. when she finally comes back in its already been two hours and then tells me to go get dilated which would have taken another 20 minutes. I had her check my eyes without dilation and she tells me she's sending me for an MRI for headaches (NOT the reason i was there) and suggests surgery for my eye right off the bat. Doesn't suggest less serious alternatives to try before recommending surgery. Then they needed to get authorization from my insurance for the MRI-understandable, but her secretary asked if i wanted to schedule the MRI myself or have her schedule it, i said I would...she scheduled… it anyway, after I listened to her voicemail i went ahead and cancelled the appointment because it was not a convenient time for me. Will NOT be returning.

Dr.Vivian Rismondo... Is a great doctor.. She is very understanding... I was late to my appointment(by 40minutes...not my fault).... She still saw me when i got there... She was great... Said that everything was fine... And she also said i dont have to come back unless I need to... She was very friendly... I would go back to her... She is just a great doctor... Was send to her by my neurologist for blurred and double vision... She spent a lot of time doing the exam... Making sure nothing went wrong... She answered any questions i had... Couldnt get a better doctor that her(i am picky about doctors)....

Delay in appointment may have led to additional optic nerve damage. Dr is unable to assist with related research potential into optic nerve damage, alternative treatments, rehabilitative or supportive devices. I was pretty much told just to live with it.
