Dr. Vladas Litani, MD

For years I had been complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains to multiple pulmonologists only to hear I just needed to quit smoking and lose some weight. In 2016 I ended up at Harrington Hospital ER and saw Dr. Litani first thing the next morning after being admitted. He told me what I had, a terminal lung disease. With that he let me know there was not much that could be done for me in terms of treatment. He could help me feel more comfortable. I appreciated his assessment and honesty much more after I had a biopsy that confirmed his diagnosis. The only treatment is a lung transplant. Even though it was bad news, I thank Dr. Litani. Now I am working with a Pulmonary team in Boston.

His staff should be replaced especially the so called receptionist, not even 1 star for her.

horrible bulletin board w/swear. receptionist a joke. she thinks shes funny but worst ive ever seen as a receptionist and i work in medical profession. took forever just to scan my i.d. then paper work wasnt even looked at by staff nurse or whatever she is...wasted day and very poor staff and absolutely no bedside manner etc

Dr. Litani is a great doctor that really knows what he is doing. I went to two different emergency rooms over a holiday weekend with sharp chest pains and shortness of breath where the pain was unbearable. Neither hospital was able to help. They were mostly concerned with checking for heart issues. As soon as I saw Dr. Litani, he diagnosed it as Pleurisy. He is thorough in examinations and discussion. It's a bonus that he has a great sense of humor! He should however look into improving his staff. They are abrupt and unwelcoming.

Wonderful, Terrific Dr. He Actually Listens to you so he can diagnose what is wrong. He gets to the main cause of your illness, very thorough. Kind, Honest, Decent Dr. Also his staff is Excellent & very helpful. Had a lot of bad Doctors thru the years So glad to have him as my primary care Doctor. 10plus year patient of his. You won't be disappointed ever. Sometimes the wait period in waiting room can be anywhere from 15 min to 2.5 hours. He does have Emergency's that is expected with a great Doctor.

This doctor has helped me greatly and he follows up promptly for my care. He has helped others I know. He knows his stuff when it comes to Pulmonary. Dr. Litani is a very sincere, caring doctor. You have to do what he asks of you, that is how his treatment goes. I have been seeing him for over 20 yrs & will continue seeing him as long as I can. He is the best of the best!!! Thank you.

Honest

I have seen Dr Litani for 11 years. He has been very thorough in trying to understand my ailment, what ever it was. He has been good about making appts for me and my husband. He has great bedside manners. And he hasn't tried to push medications as a solution for everything, as my old Dr once was. He is a very caring man and takes his patient's needs seriously.

staff incompetent. Took me two weeks to get my prescriptions called in to the pharmacy. Took a month to get the oxygen that Litani said I needed to stave off a heart attack. Multiple phone calls to his office pleading for their help was met with giggles. He and/or his staff are going to hurt someone very badly. I hope it's not you.

Choose another doctor,Dr. Litani needs to get a personality first and then learn how to spend time with each patient making sure they have no questions and that they understand fully their illness. Working with people is not the job for him, he should have chosen another career........awful!!
