Dr. Wade E Fiegl

Dr. Wade E. Fiegl, O.D. is a dedicated Optometrist providing care to his community at Eye Care Doctors of Optometry. Dr. Fiegl graduated from Houghton College in western N.Y. before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997 from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. His training included externships at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and the Philadelphia VA Hospital.After graduating with academic and clinical honors, Dr. Fiegl served as a Navy Lieutenant at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL. At NAS JAX, he participated in the Aviation Contact Lens Program, the military Laser Vision PRK Study, and the Eye Health Readiness Study. Before joining Eye Care Doctors of Optometry in Feb 2010, Dr. Fiegl served for ten years at a large private practice near Binghamton, NY, where his interests included: specialty contact lenses, treatment of eye disease and glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, and co-management of laser vision correction and cataract …surgeries.Dr. Fiegl has been a member of the American Optometric Association, Armed Forces Optometric Society, and New York State Optometric Society. He is currently a founding member of the American Optometric Society.
