2 Plus Hours LATE FOR ALL appointment!!! Does not know the patients or why there on such appointment days!!! Don’t waste your time!!! This Doctor is beyond any value in the life of others, he should not treat dogs much less humans!!!

I have seen Dr. Hanna numerous times. He is extremely knowledgeable, takes time to answer questions, and answers question in clear, understandable language. i have 100% confidence in Dr. Hanna.

If you have cancer he may be a fantastic doctor. But, if you have anything else that requires an oncologist you are wasting his time. Don’t expect to discuss results or treatment plans. Have other issues? Take them up with the other specialists because he “knows” the one and only course of treatment and there is no room for discussion. Except maybe a few years later when he finally realizes “this is not fixing the problem” Go somewhere else. Seriously

Outstanding and compassionate physician!!

Dr. Hanna and his great staff are the reason that I am here today, 9 years in remission from stage 4 esophageal cancer. His aggressive treatment for me from day 1 ,thru my surgery. my recovery , and now follow ups are why I am able to write this today. He truly followed my every day improvements and healing and to this day, he still keeps in contact with me, checking up on me! I consider him to be a great friend that never gave up on me nor questioned that I had the will and determination to beat this awful disease. I can call Dr.Hanna any time, day or night, and he will answer any question I may have and actually be concerned about it. Recently I was in a local hospital as a patient and very ill and told that I needed immediate surgery or I may not survive. I said that I wanted to be transferred to UT Medical Center in Knoxville immediately . I was told that I would have to be accepted as a patient there at once and even if I was that there would probably not be a bed available on… such notice. So, at 2am in the morning I had the nurse call Dr. Hanna and instead of getting his answering service, he was actually just finishing an emergency surgery at the hospital and took the call. He said to get me there at once and then told me if they wouldn't do that in a timely matter that he would make arrangements for UT transport. I think they were in such shock they didn't know how to react! I know he treats all his patients with the same care and concern. I will forever be grateful for what he has done for mr and what he means to me and my family. God Bless Dr. Hanna and the entire UT Medical Center staff!

Dr. Hanna is very knowledgeable and courteous. He listened to my concerns regarding the treatment plan for cancer. He personally returns calls (he returned my call placed after 10:30 p.m.) He acknowledges the caregiver (my wife) and her concerns. His staff is very cordial and caring. The cancer institute at UT Medical Center is an excellent facility. The wait time is long due to the number of patients he sees, but the wait is worth it. He has very competent partners, too.

I think if something is working for a patient and the insurance denies it he changes the medicines instead of telling this is what is working for them. This is what is best for my patient. I think when it starts getting tough he considers the patients a number instead of a person.
