Dr Maalouli is the medical director of the Children's Hospitalist Program. He graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a B.Sc. in neurobiology, then went on to attend medical school at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He completed his pediatric residency at St Luke's/Roosevelt Medical Center in Manhattan, NY. Dr Maalouli was in private pediatric practice for 13 years prior to joining Children's Hospital in March 2008 to found and head the hospitalist program and was instrumental in developing Family Centered Team Rounding at Children's.
