Dr. Walter Arnold Chameides, MD

Doctor Chameides treated me for depression, anxiety, etc. for several years when I was living in Los Angeles. Like many people, I don't particularly enjoy visiting any doctor, but the opposite was true while I was under his care; I honestly looked forward to my Saturday morning visits with him in his wonderful office in Monterey Park. Dr. Chameides always went above and beyond for me. For example, when I slipped into a particularly dark period, he had someone come by my house for a wellness check and then had me call him every morning and every evening to check in so that he knew I was okay between our meetings. That is pretty remarkable. Our sessions together were wonderful. He treated me like a daughter, not just as a patient. I am not sure where I would be now (but it likely would not be a 'good place') if it were not for his wisdom, compassion, and his high level of care and expertise. I honestly cannot say enough about this wonderful doctor. He is just about the… only thing I miss about living in Los Angeles. I am in Seattle now, but really wish I could just pop into his office every Saturday like I used to and just chat, even when I am at my best. That's the thing about Dr. Chameides: He takes the time to truly listen and will get to know you and his care for you doesn't end when you are better. I am much better now, thanks to him. He really is the best.

Dr. Chameides is an exceptional health care professional in the field of Psychiatry. Dr.C as I call him is very down to earth. He never forget that you are an individual and not just a case tudy. He maintains effective communications with me as a patient and if necessary puts things into layman's terms and presents issue in various ways so that therapy is most effective. He takes the time to explain medical facts so thatI fully understand my treatment, medications, side effects, benefits and most importantly tells me my progression towards improvement in treatment. I have been to many Psy and Psychologists for treatment and this is the first time that I recieved a concrete diagnosis and made significant strides!! I highly recommend Dr. C. He is awesome
