Dr. Walter R Grote, DO

Time management does not exist. Expect to wait beyond your appointment. I found the wait irritating but well worth the time. Nursing and front office staff are very competent & pleasant. Dr. Grote is somewhat unconventional but VERY thorough. He has a terrific demeanor & is a great diagnostician. He asks many questions, takes copious notes and listens to everything you have to say. He leaves no stone unturned. Everything matters to him. Every visit feels like the first time we meet. Takes nothing for granted. Glad I was referred to him. He was my last resort for my condition. He nailed the issue and plotted a course of treatment that is helping. I have suffered since 2009 and am finally feeling relief. Highly recommend!

do not go to this man unless you have a simple problem, Groat is uncaring, rude, and imcompetent.

Avoid this man, he is rude and uncaring. I would not go to him again if he were the last md on Earth

Dr. Walter Grote is by far the best physician I have ever had. I have had many health problems throughout the years and have seen many doctors including specialists. Dr. Grote was the only one to look at my condition holistically and spend time with me. He helped me regain control of my health and life by taking time and determining the overall problem. Many of the comments state low ratings for wait time, however the quality of care is worth the wait and the reason there is a wait is because he cares about his patient's health.

Just went to see Dr. Grote for the first time this week. He was so very kind and helpful to me. Also, answered all my questions and was very well informed about what I was wrestling with..

I travel 70 miles to see Dr. Grote for Prolotherapy. I went from being on high daily doses of ibuprofen for 4 years and being unable to walk to NO pain killers at all for a year now and I walk 2 miles 3-4 days a week.I have recommended him to others who have had great results as well and am scheduling soon to have my other knee done. The office staff leaves something to be desired, but his medical staff is well versed and very nice to deal with. If you have questions, they will answer the ones that they can and the Dr. is very willing to explain anything you want to know about what he does and how he does it and what to expect and I have not been disappointed. I get to the office early, so yes, my wait time might be longer, but I also know that he is giving his other patients the opportunity for the same time and attention he gives me, if they want it. Well worth the travel invested to get the procedures done. I highly recommend him in spite of any problems with the office staff.

Dr. Grote is a wonderful person and an exception physician, in my opinion. Unfortunately, he is part of a medical group and that group hires his office staff. His office staff is well below average in their professionalism, attention to detail and patient caring. This does not apply to his medical staff - just those you deal with every day. I have recently considered changing primary physicians due to the total ineptness of the "group". I do not mind waiting 45- 1 hr to see Dr. Grote as I know he is spending that time with a patient who needs him and he would do the same for me. I do mind not having his office personnel return calls, take of scripts, bill me incorrectly over and over again and lie about what they have done. For the time, I will continue Dr. Gote as my primary in spite of the office staff, but I am looking.
