Dr. Walter Brigham Klyce III

I saw him twice. Both times he was dismissive and unable to even suggest a cause for my severe pain and only told me at the end of the appointment , after he had said everything was fine, that it was actually ____ problem and to wear these braces - even though I told him I didn’t feel that joint was a problem, and said that would take care of everything. Yet in his appointment notes he stated he doubted those braces would help. Additional documentation in the appointment note did not reflect what happened in the appointment: - He stated I was seeking disability, whereas I told him I wanted to avoid having a long term disability and asked if I was okay to return to work as I was already off of work short term - char note: no plan for follow up, return “as needed”. In the appointment he said return in 2 months - and more He informed me that: 1. If I couldn’t tell him the source of my pain he couldn’t help me 2. I was fine and could do anything - when I asked him if that meant I… should do things that were painful he was like oh no, don’t do that 3. Maybe I should see pain management - RED FLAG in a new injury that a provider doesn’t believe you! And pain management would not see someone for a new injury 4. surgeons are focused on surgery, so if it wasn’t surgical there was no point seeing him (then why was I referred to him?) that all of his fellow hand surgeons would agree with him I took a friend to help advocate for me and take notes on his advice and she also thought he was super dismissive and “done” with me in that appointment.
