Dr. Walter James Lawrence, MD

I stopped going because I was concerned my medication changed without talking to Dr. Lawrence. I asked the front desk gentleman and he was really pretty rude and alluded to the fact that the doctor didn't want to be bothered. I went back when it was time for my blood work to be checked again. He again went up on my meds, I never saw him, just a RX left at the front desk. For a small town doctor he sure does have an office full of cold, distant staff. Do not recommend.

UPDATE: Family Member showed up at the doctors office to try to be seen: The note on the door said Closed for Spring Break ,SPRING BREAK?? THATS NOT HOW THE REAL WORLD WORKS!! Especially during a pandemic, and when you tell your patient that you will have the results by the end of the week knowing you won't be there is a straight up LIE. Beyond ridiculous standards of care! One of my Family members went in to the office on Monday with a fever that presented on Saturday, swabbed and sent home. 7 days after the initial fever it is still present and we can't get anyone to answer the phone, much less return our phone calls, the voicemail is now full and still no return call. That isn't an acceptable business practice for any business even more so being a Health Care Provider. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE.

Dr. Lawrence is one of the last "old school" doctors left in town. He actually bothers to try to diagnose you instead of just haphazardly rushing you off to a specialist. He treats your problems and doesn't push unnecessary meds. He is mindful of the costs of the medications he prescribes as well.
