Dr. Walter Joseph Leclair, MD

In 1979 l lost my left leg above the knee. Dr. Leclair was an orthopedic resident who was looking after me at UMASS. Years later in 1996 l was having the worst case of stump fungal infection. Dr. Leclair had been treating several bouts of fungal over the years. This time he said l needed surgery to remove calcified bone growths and plastic surgery to repair a skin crater that was causing the fungal infections. The surgery went well and after six weeks l was able to wear my prosthesis and return to work. I was able to work another twenty years and eight years after l have had zero infections and am still wearing my prosthesis sixteen hours a day thanks to Dr. Leclair and Dr. Dunn. Thank you Walter! I have had Dr. LeClaire for more than 20 years. Couldn't get a better doctor. I was flown in by helicopter for an amputated limb which was re attatched. Several surgeries and years later, I am doing fine. He never rushes you, does anything he can to make things easier for you. Great guy and he has a great staff. Thanks

DR Leclair is one no is the only ortho doctor there is, he is caring, and does not rush you in and out have had him over 20 years have flown from fla on occasions to see him there is no other Dr. like him
