Dr. Walter Robert Mazzei, MD

Nice but not very smart doctor. My father trusted him for 5+ years, but after rebounding back in the hospital 3xs in 4 months. My dad finally told me and Dr. Mazzei that he no longer trusted him & was finding himself a new doctor. If a doctor can't figure out what is wrong with a patient they should know to send the pt to another doctor who can figure out the problem. Not sit around & wait for 4yrs, misleading the pt and their family that they know what they are doing. Not smart, not a good doctor & thinking they are too good to send a patient somewhere else to get better care. Dr. Mazzei mislead my dad in the hospital for 1 month. Telling him he was being discharged but never did what he said he would do. Dr. Mazzei was too slow to act. My father died in the hospital under his and Richland hearts care. While he was in good shape when he eithered the hospitsl, Dr Mazzei & staff let my dad fall not once but twice, get covid in the hospital, not see his family, my dad died alone. Thanks

How good Dr. Mazzei is. He is truly concerned about his patients. He LISTENS and takes time to explain conditions and treatment options. Dr. Mazzei in current on the latest treatments and takes part in national clinical trials. Quite outstanding in Columbia SC.
