Dr. Walter McLean

Long long waits to see Dr McLean and then he zips in and out as fast as he can. May be a good Dr but bedside manner is poor. Easily irritated with questions and eager to move on

He takes the absolute minimum time explaining issues to the patient. At one appointment he told me I needed an injection in my eye. My wife and I expressed real concern about getting an injection in an eye. We wanted to discuss the procedure and discuss it in general to sooth my concerns. He just stood up and said, it is not my job to convince you to get it and he walked out. At another visit I had questions. He gave quick answers and when I tried to probe further he said he had to move on to another patient. I will research other doctors.

Came to see a retina specialist and he did not even do a complete evaluation. He washed his hands of us with an I don't know why you can't see and told us to follow up with the optometrist. He had no academic interest in solving the problem and no patient interaction. Highly recommend you ask for someone else.

Barely says hello when he walks into the room. Talks more to his assistant that he does to you. Does not involve you at all in your care, just tells you what his decision is. After four visits, could not remember me or any of the details of my condition. He disputed the fact I had experienced a deterioration in my vision because his tests showed nothing. (So his tests were right and my own eyes were wrong.) Walked out of the room without saying anything, while his health assistant lectured me. He didn't care. He needs to retire. I'm looking elsewhere. For all the one-star ratings, I would have given zero if that were a choice.

No regard how patient when telling them they have a condition that can end up in blindness. Not a gentle man.

Doctor was fine. Office experience was very negative.
