Dr. Walter Szczupak, MD

Dr. Szczupak took care of both of my parents as they got older, and as they were both lifetime smokers, they had a lot of lung issues, my father eventually passed of lung cancer. This doctor was so warm and friendly, we even looked forward to seeing him. I remember several occasions when my mother was sick on a weekend, and when she would call his emergency number on the day he was off, he would call back within ten minutes, speak to her to find out what the problem was and call in a prescription to our pharmacy within a few minutes for an antibiotic or whatever he thought she needed. Never nasty on the phone, always extremely nice, and when my mother would say something like "I'm so sorry to bother you" he would say something like, "I am always your doctor, even on the weekend". It's refreshing to meet a doctor like that sometimes, it is so rare!
