About Doctor Walter Vaughan
Dr. Walter Vaughan, originally from La Place, attended St. Alphonsus Catholic School and graduated from Central High School in 1976. He was involved in 4H and baseball in his youth and stays involved in his lifelong passions by supporting the youth of the community through his donations to 4-H and participation in CAYL baseball both as a coach and team sponsor.
After graduating from Central High, he attended LSU and majored in biochemistry. In 1984, Dr. Vaughan received his Dental degree from LSUSD and he returned home and opened his practice in Central on Hooper Road. At the same location for over 27 years, he continues to work with long-term staff members – some that have been with him since the beginning.
He and his wife, Brenda, a Central native and Central High School graduate, live in Central and have three children and three grandchildren. His hobbies include spending time with his family, canoeing, camping, piloting, collecting and maintaining …antique tractors and managing his registered Beefmaster cattle at his farm north of Central.
