80 year old grandfather needed a medication switch - staff was unwilling to help him with this matter-

I have been a patient for many years. I have found it very easy to get an appointment and have never waited past my scheduled appointment to be seen. Dr. Wielkiewicz listens to your concerns, refers to your medical history and offers appropriate treatment. I have never felt rushed during my appointments. His staff makes follow up calls providing results of tests within 48 hours.

I agree with the other review as I had the exact same experience. He wants more visits than are reasonable and creates more insurance claims. Is in a hurry and doesn't take time to really listen ...

1. If you have researched anything about yourself in advance, don't tell him or he will treat you like your nuts or argue with you. 2. Quick to refer to a specialist, what most family doctors would likely treat in house. 3. Office visits often less than 2 minutes in length and he treats you as though he is in a constant hurry. 4. Refuses to write a year long, 90 day x 3 perscription for mail in pharmacies. Will only write scripts for a maximum of 180 days and makes you return for an office visit if you want a refill. Is this really necessary for things as simple as heart burn or allergy medication. Office rarely repsonds to requests from Medco for perscription renewals. Ends up costing more due to more frequent office visits and running out of scripts due to having to pay for a 10 day emergency supply while waiting on mail order. 5. On the good side, he does seem to know his stuff and is rarely wrong on a diagnosis. Seems interested in seeing you in an overall better state of health.
