Dr. Wanda M Good, DO

Dr. Good is very nice and personally we get along, but I have had many issues with her office. We had lots of confusion concerning what information I had been given and what they should have given me. Seemed like her office was always rushed and frantically trying get me through the mill. Her office coordinated my insurance and I had my lap band removed, based on what she said was medically necessary. Dr. Good went on vacation after my surgery and there was lots of confusion over how to get my return to work letter since she was unavailable. I had to spend lots of time on the phone with her only staff member left in the office and it took three days for her to find another Dr. to sign my note! I don't know what would have happened if I had complications! Then I was scheduled for the sleeve and less than a week before surgery I was notified my insurance only pays for one surgery and they will never cover my sleeve (the removal was my one chance with Cigna). I figured her office had… talked to my insurance about the entire plan, but obviously they only handled one surgery at a time! At this time her office quit helping me and cancelled all my appointments without notifying me! She even failed to show up to an online meeting with my insurance to try to get my sleeve covered! Very unprofessional and was exactly what I had feared would happen and what I had discussed with her and the therapist prior to my first surgery! Now I have no help for my weight loss journey and will have to do it on my own!

I wanted to make a positive change in my life, and after doing my research and asking around to other doctors for recommendations, I came across Dr. Good. My experience with Dr. Good and her whole team has been nothing but positive. Dr.Good is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. She is very caring, supportive and empathic to her patients through the whole process. Between Dr.Good and her whole surgical team, anyone is in good hands. She made feel completely safe and cared for from the first appointment, on my surgery day, and now through post opt. She takes the time to build a connection with her patients and answering any and all questions and concerns that you may have. She would be an excellent resource for anyone needing surgery. Excited to have her guidance on this journey.
