Dr. Waqar Waheed, MD

Arrogant and lacks bedside manner. During the neuro exam he started yelling at me to lift my toe when I was very clearly trying which is very difficult for me due to having tendon entrapment which causes the tendon to spasm and become painful. He then started aggressively pushing my toe up repeatedly while yelling at me to lift it which was hurting my feet. He also made me feeling like he thought I was being over dramatic and was overall dismissive.

I was referred to Dr. Waheed from a Neurologist in Plattsburgh to come to a diagnosis as to what’s wrong with me. When we entered is very clean very nice office/waiting room I was greeted by very helpful professional staff and check in was a breeze. Was called in to registration and quickly but friendly process and returned to the waiting room for a few ministers before being called in to Dr. Waheed. He was very friendly and professional and got right to the line of questioning and then the physical exam. Very thorough and a good bedside manner. Had some reflex testing, an EMG and physical exam of the problem areas. All was done very efficiently. Even though my EMG seemed inconclusive because of MY extra weight, nothing of Dr Waheeds doing, he is ordering some extra testing to help find a diagnosis. Would DEFINITELY recommend Dr. Waheed to anyone looking for a Neurologist. Very Happy...

I was very surprised by some of the negative reviews about Dr. Waheed. I saw him for the first time this week, and I was very nervous about my appointment. I had an EMG and skin biopsies. I found the doctor and the staff to be very kind and attentive. I did not feel rushed, and the doctor paid careful attention to my pain level and comfort. I have only seen him once, but I would return without a second thought. I feel badly for those who had a poor experience, but it was not what I experienced at all. April Newport, VT
