Deserves 0 stars. This guy is an idiot. He told me hives were a mosquito bite. When I told him I knew what hives were he said he couldnt help me because I didnt have hives currently and he doesn't deal with other allergies, only food and his guess was it probably isnt food. He didnt even know the possibilities of food reactions or how they unfold. Told me to see a dermatologist. Avoid this guy!

Try another allergist.

My wife had severe hives and thought she might be allergic to detergent but wasn't sure. Dr said "we don't deal with chemicals." (But full charge was still assessed.) We waited 3 weeks for an appt and then not even examined. because of our "suspicions". Another allergist in KC took the time to run the tests. Turns out to be tree pollen.
