Dr. Warren Harvey Heller, MD

This was the most unprofessional office I have ever experienced. Why would anyone dilate a patients eye when they are already having issues seeing and then expect them to walk from one eye exam area to another with out assistance? and then not really explain what is going on with his double eye vision on a eye they did not expect to open after brain surgery my son is a Vet and was degraded so badly by the time he left the place I thought he was going to have a seizure it was disgraceful. Dr. Warren offered him glasses for 50 dollars and assured him he would be able to drive i hope there are not anyone out there driving with this condition God help us if they are out on the roads.we are making a Dr. visit with a real ophthalmologist

The best and most caring physician I have ever visited

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Heller for over 20 years. This year my husband went in for his annual check and was given a new prescription for his glasses. When he received his glasses, they did not work. He had to tilt them on his head in order to read a document. He went back to Dr. Heller who told him the prescription was correct and he would not fix the prescription. We and our insurance company spent hundreds of dollars on two glasses, one regular and one sunglasses. My husband went to an OD and paid out of pocket for a new exam, we paid over $700 for new lenses and funny, my husband can now see perfectly. We are disappointed that Dr. Heller refused to listen to his patient and we are the one that had to pay. He has his money.

I have been a patient of Dr. Heller for over 25 years. I think he is either just too busy or is getting cranky in his old age. I received a prescription for my glasses from him and I could not read close up with tilting my glasses on a 45 degree angle. I went back to him and he said there was nothing wrong!

I last went to Dr. Heller appx a year ago and had an awful experience. I had been going to him for over ten years, so was unwilling to post a bad review and just decided I would not go back again. Having seen the other two bad reviews here, I now feel obligated to speak out. I used to be legally blind without glasses before eye surgery, which restored me to 20/40 vision. Six years later, my eyesight began to rapidly deteriorate and varied hugely from day to day. I had also been diagnosed previously with a cataract, but knew that was not the cause of my current problem or my vision wouldn't be so much better at times and almost blind and unable to focus at others. Soooo, I went to Dr. Heller. 1) although I've been his patient for ten years, he did not remember me (actually, never has at any visits) and had no knowledge of my history. I had to remind him of everything. 2) He refused to consider any other possible causes of my problems other than my one cataract in my one… eye (both eyes were causing me problems, just one worse than the other). 3) As soon as I reminded him of my eye surgery (advanced surface ablation), HE BEGAN TO MAKE FUN OF ME!! talking about how the people that did the surgery were just hacks and how I was a fool to have been taken, and didn't I feel silly every having had it done, because, see, I my eyes were going bad again anyway. A) Talk about unprofessional in ANY situation; and B) HE WAS THE DOCTOR WHO RECOMMENDED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS THAT I HAVE EYE SURGERY - "I don't normally say this because I don't think there's been a long enough track record, but in your situation, with your eyes so bad, I recommend you consider surgery, such as Lasik." And never mind that I had six years of not risking walking into an open manhole if I had my glasses off. The only thing I felt silly about was ever having gone to this doctor! When I told my husband, he just said, "I've thought for a long time he should be retired." And p.s., his staff has never been great. They lost my file two times, had to create a new one each time, so that I had three files floating around the office (maybe that's why the doc never could remember me?). The only thing good is that they will get you in on a rush basis . . . and that's not enough.

Given poor exam, equipment outdated, inaccurate information, spends little time and med tech gives exam for glasses. Gave medication without giving knowledge of proper use. Go somewhere else. He is taking advantage of lots of people

I was diagnosed with blepharitis and given an antibiotic that I am allergic to and is clearly stated on my chart that I am allergic to it. The name I hadn't heard before so I wasn't alerted. My eye hurt and itched and I began to feel sick all over. So I looked up the medicine and found out it was in the group of quinolones that I am allergic to. I also found that it is known to cause retinal detachment. I stopped taking it immediately. I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone I know.

I've been a patient of Dr. Heller's for over 10 years. The price and quality of service are exceptional! Dr. Heller's been serving the community for over 25 years. What a gem.
