When I called for an appointment, the office staff siad they had an anestheologist who was an Empire plan provider. Because I had been through this before I called the Lobo office and they said they are not an empire plan provider. The billing coordinator will also tell you the truth.I would be responsible for the one thousand dollar deductible for an out of network doctor. The staff is playing a hedging game to get you into the office. The doctor is excellent but in office procedures do not cover an anestheiologist at 100 percent-only if it is done in the hospital and noone called me back about that option.

I was using Dr lobo at Island Digestive for 5 years when having an endoscopy. He would accept the check My insurance company would send me as payment in full. This year with out notice of a policy change I received a bill for over $1000. He will not even return my calls to ask him about this. I will no longer use him or Island Digestive.
