Dr. Warren Yu, is amazing I love his straight forward approach he is interested in getting the job done and he does after hitting a School bus dashboard as a special needs assistant I felt hopeless, but he did my infusion I did not experience the horrible things I heard about after surgery.13 days Post-Op I can’t believe I feel amazing.more doctors could learn from him. It’s about your patients and making sure their health and lives are better and having a hopeful future. I would suggest everyone I know that needed a surgeon go straight to Dr. Yu don’t waste your time going from doctor to doctor he will take good care of you. Thank-you, Dr. Yu and your amazing team. Made an appointment to see Dr Yu for severe back pain, however after waiting in the lobby for over 2.5 hours I was finally called in, but had to wait another hour for X-rays, then waited again another hour to be seen for the results. To my surprise I did not see Dr Yu, but someone else, a nurse practitioner. No one said anything to me about the doctor that I had an appointment with wasn’t available. Good thing the nurse practitioner listened to my concerns, explained the results and prescribed some medications. For all that time that I spent waiting for service, there should be better communication with the patient.

His practice when with MFA was a little better, however I have been a patient for several years. Because of the intricate surgery I have a difficult time in finding other surgeons who are willing to take me in as a patient. Dr. Warren David Yu before surgery is thorough and explains procedures. However, after surgery, and another notch in his belt of complicated surgeries and a few white papers you become a number. His staff (Debbie) is extremely incompetent. She has advised of mailing reports and appointment reviews, etc., and prescriptions. Unfortunately, none of the documents have ever been received. Whether he is aware of her incompetence it is unknown as there is not a way to communicate with him. Failure of practice or law suit is eventually going to occur as she is to be held responsible. She tends to play doctor without any type of experience or training. If you see him because he is a good surgeon. Make sure you have excellent methods of communication without using secretary.

I've been going to Dr. Yu since 2013, in my opinion he is an outstanding, professional, highly skilled surgeon, his bedside manner is amazing, he has the ability not only to mend your spine but your spirit. I feel that I was extremely lucky to have him perform my surgeries because I know that I am in excellent, highly skilled hands.

Excellent Care Scoliosis surgery(at 50%) and replaced 7 discs

Dr. Yu was confident about what I needed to relieve the pain I was in. I had an L5 fragmented disc on my nerves causing numbness and pain in my left leg. He explained what was happening and what he would do to relieve the pain. He scheduled me for surgery the following day as a add on. After doing surgeries all day he performed the surgery on me as if I was his first person that day. I appreciated his answering of my questions. I went to see him after the surgery for post op and again he was confident that I wouldn't have permanent damage and that I would be able to resume my activities after healing. I would recommend Dr. Yu for any type of back surgery he was excellent.

Dr Yu performed back surgery - lamenectomy and fusion - and it was very successful. I had two previous surgeries by a recommended orthopedist, but those were not successful.

Dr. Warren Yu is an excellent surgeon. The complexities of my medical problems began when a cadaver bone never grafted and "spun out." After numerous cervical spine surgeries in an attempt to repair the damage of which I was advised was so extensive that really nothing further could be done surgically. I was provided Dr. Yu's name. I sought an appointment and and several surgeries later I am fused. My ROM is very limited and I still have pain. However, I have the capability of walking and I am not paralyzed like I was told I would be. Dr. Yu has truly been a life saver. He cared for me as if I were his only patient. I would rate him with 5 stars. HOWEVER, Ms. Freeman, his secretary has a tendency to act as a medically trained professional and on numerous occasions she's impaired the doctor/patient relationship and nearly cost me my life. She has changed my medication refills, failed to pass on information or request. Her incompetence and total disregard for medical… professionalism could very well lead to a fatality. Hopefully, this situation can be taken care of. Dr. Yu's remaining staff is excellent. Such a tragedy though, as they spend more time being patient advocates and doing the job she should be doing.

6 years ago I had 2 surgeries. Now I am totally disabled. The diagnosis is "failed back surgery".
