Dr. Washington Marin Castro, MD

Dr. Washington Marin is a board-certified pediatrician and certified lactation counselor who provides comprehensive, compassionate care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, newborn care, breastfeeding support and childhood development, with a special focus on helping families build a strong foundation for lifelong health.Dr. Marin provides family-centered pediatric care in both English and Spanish, and he is deeply committed to improving access to care for the Hispanic community. He believes strong partnerships with parents are essential to helping children thrive physically, emotionally and socially as they grow.As a certified lactation counselor, Dr. Marin is passionate about supporting parents through breastfeeding and the early stages of infancy. He partners closely with families to provide guidance, education and reassurance. He is also a proud Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.Outside of work, Dr. Marin …enjoys spending time with family, including his wife Alejandra, two daughters Luciana and Emiliana and three dogs Mori, Coco and Luna. He also likes being outdoors, gardening, working on home projects, technology, gaming (Nintendo and PlayStation are among his favorites), being involved with the Brenham community and traveling.
