Dr. Wawrzyniec Lawrence Stepczak, MD

Dr.Stepczak is the very pinnacle of American Health Care. A couple years back I had a very serious liver problem that 11 other doctors incorrectly diagnosed and treated, however Dr.Stepczak asked me very little, yet precise questions and quickly found out what was wrong. Had it not been for him, I would have kicked the bucket. I can not properly express my enormous gratitude for Dr.Stepczak's expertise and skill.

Dr. Stepczak saved my arm and my leg on two separate occasions from serious infections, when I was desperately in pain from these infections; I was able to get an appointment quickly. The doctor also helped me correct a painful prostate enlargement, as well as identified my liver problem. He always communicated well, listened and answered my questions, offered his advice and provided a solution.

The man is incapable of a literate discussion about medication, clearly has no desire to communicate with patients. He can only survive because of the shortage of rural physicians. He demonstrated clearly and unequivocally he cannot describe even basic differences among various benzodiazepenes, has no interest in fluent and educated discussion of medical topics essential to treatment, and appears to take the attitude that he is a physician, thus divinely authorised to make unilateral decisions based upon what is obviously limited knowledge of pharmacology, and non-existant grasp of the psychology of patient care.

I will never go there again that man has his face burried in his lap top. Doesn't pay attention to you. And he was ignorant.

My father lived in Tioga County Pa and was a pt. of this horrible Dr who played with my dads health until my mother had him transferred to another hosp as under this Dr's care my father was declining. Sad to say my father passed within days, final result from the new hosp was that my dad was misdiagnosed and treated by this fool which ultimately caused his death, this was when this Dr was practicing at Soldiers and Sailors in Wellsboro, and now it's ironic he practices in the town I live in!!!!

I wouldn't take and animal to him. I was referred to him for back pain. Not only did he not listen to me but he was very rude. He advised me to exercise more and that no pill would help me. I have since been diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer with tumors on my spine. In my opinion this man should not be allowed to practice medicine.

dr. stepczak is messed up!! seriously a horrible doctor! do not under any circumstance go see or make an appointment with him!! you will not be helped with your problems. he is rude demeaning & in your face aggressive. every visit i had with him he would start out by loudly asking me "did you get a job yet". my personal life has nothing to do with him. he made me feel bad & like a loser. i needed him to fill out a pre approval form via my insurance so i can get a certain medication that i needed that he has been prescibing me, but he wouldnt fill it out. his reason was i dont have time to deal with insurance companys!! i now cannot get this med that i need. hes hurtful demeaning downgrading & he yells at his patients, plus he has a thick foreign accent which makes it realy hard to understand him!! please save yourself the grief i was put through & just seek out another doctor.

This was the worst experience I ever had with a doctor he did not care about my health issues, he was extremly rude with me, i suggest no one seek care from this man. I'am a very sick woman and he offer no help what so ever. Poor manners. I left the place in tears

I have been a patient of Dr Stepczak for over a year now. There are few others in this town, so I stuck with him.I have a chronic debilitating physical illness, diagnosed by more than one other physician before I moved here. Dr Stepczak ignores my diagnosis completely everytime I go.Today I went for my check up, as I do every few months, and he would not listen to a word I said. I have several new scary symptoms of my disease and he would not even let me talk about them. He accused me of only wanting pills and raised his voice at me. I held back my tears and let him tell me that its all in my head and that I need to seek mental help. This is not the first time I had a bad experience with him. My husband was appalled when he sat in with me one day and Dr Stepczak made misogynistic remarks to my face. I will never go to this man again. His attitude towards his patients, towards women, is despicable! It may be fine in his home country of Poland, but NOT HERE IN THE USA!!
