Dr. Wayne Spencer Burnett, MD

This doctor is a joke. He will get hooked on your meds and hear rumors that your selling your meds from the same people that cases the place so when you walk out they asked to buy your meds and if you don't sell to them they call the doctor's office up and say your selling them so he calls you in to do a pill check and calls the cops on you for being a few pills short when you come in for a pill count and then takes your meds in front of the cop and then call your pharmacy and says your dealing drugs and then leaves you hanging to DRY. Now I know why his daughter has nothing to do with him

I trust Dr. Burnett with my health. He and I work together to keep me healthy. I can depend on him to use his education and experience to provide insight, responsiveness and medical expertise.

Doesn't listen but likes to talk about himself and tell you his problems with this ex-wife and daughter. Answers his cell phone while he is supposed to be listening to his patients. In a hurry to get out of the room. Misdiagnosed me and I ended up needing surgery. Anyone using his weight loss clinic would be interested to know that he calls it the Fat Farm. I would never recommend Dr. Burnett. If I could give ZERO stars I would.

He has been disciplined by the Florida Board of Medicine. I would never recommend him to anyone.

I've seen Dr. Burnett regularly for about 10 years now. Wait times can be a bit long sometimes, mainly because he gives each patient the time they need (or want). This can be a pain while you are waiting, but when it's your turn, you appreciate it. Some may be turned off by his "plain spoken" manner, but I personally like it. I can really talk to him, and he to me without some stiff professional barrier between us.... Hold the sugar coating, please, and talk to me. I trust him and he has done well for me.

Unfortunately the review I left of this Dr. on another page is too lengthy to retype here (so make sure to take a look at other pages for other reviews). I have to comment on the individual who was so valiantly defending him. That is wonderful that you have had such a great experience with him--unfortunately, that does not mean that the reviews left by others are not without validity. Yes, some people may have an agenda or vendetta, however, in the case of my wife and I in regard to the care of my elderly uncle, our experience was VERY real. It is disgusting to think of an elderly man with dementia being taken advantage of and believe me, I would not have put my review out there IF IT WERE NOT TRUE, as God is my witness.

I have been seeing Dr. Burnett since 1998. He has always treated me with patience and kindness. I've never had to wait a significant time beyond my appointment time to be seen. Any questions or concerns I have are explained to my satisfaction before I leave. Dr. Burnett has seen me at my best and at my worst. He stays on the cutting edge of developing medical technology as well as changes in standards of practice. I had a brief hiatus from him that was forced on me by my insurance. In the interim, I saw 3 different primary care physicians, had my medications "tweaked" and some discontinued. These "changes" were detrimental to my health. I worked out getting to return to Dr. Burnett's care and was welcomed back with the same wonderful patience and caring I've always received from him and his staff. He listened to my medical issues and was able to come up with a battle plan to get me back on track. I am a retired paramedic. I've had many opportunities to see both good and bad… physicians in my career and in my lifetime. Since 1998 - I've NEVER EVER had even 1 bad experience with Dr. Burnett. I have read some of these "other" (negative) reviews and based on what is being said - they are untrue. Unfortunately, it is very easy to post a negative review if you should have a vendetta. The people who will lose out from these inaccurate reviews are all the potential patients who listen to them and deprive themselves of a well-educated, caring, and patient, physician who has your health as his utmost concern. Think about it...the comment someone made about having to wait over an hour to see the doctor - now, how could that happen if he were as bad as they said? A physician as bad as they are portraying wouldn't have "soul one" coming to see them. I don't know the agenda of these drastically negative folks and no one is perfect, but if you are looking for a good doctor, who treats his patients well, Dr. Burnett is your doctor.

Transferred from TRICARE Prime to Standard and was referred to Dr. Burnett. The Mil doctors passed me meds and said to return in a year--Dr. Burnett set up specialized appointments and actually listened to my problem and made me feel welcome. My wife also transferred to Dr. B and loves him!

He talks about himself more than about my medical issues. Always late, forgets prescriptions, then ASKS you to pay your bill on the way out. I'll be on the way out as soon as I find another doctor.
