Dr. Wayne Goldstein, MD

did both my knees at once 13 years ago. went back for a one year check up. and never been back since. not one issue ever. i dont even think about my knees .ever. hes the best. daniel baker spring grove il.

He clearly thinks very little of his patients. Has you wait for hours (2.5 hour wait for me) and then sees you for a couple minutes and then practically kicks you out. He talked down to my father, belittled him when my dad clearly has a cognitive disability (aphasia) and rushed through the appointment. He said (quite cruelly might I add) "where do you think your hip is?" when my dad was stuttering and trying to explain himself. It was unbelievably cruel and my father was left humiliated and embarrassed. Please don't waste your time with this doctor, and for the love of God don't let any of your loved ones work with him.

Hip replaced by Dr. Goldstein in 2010. He was recommended by my doctor. In 2019 after 8.5 years of on average 3months of PT guided therapy and home exercises every day for the 8 years, with poor results on affected side considerable, pain and a very weak hip. Over this time period I've gotten 5 orthopedic surgeons opinions. 4 informed me that the length 1/2 shorter anatomically " length of femur bone",confirmed with ct scan was only a small part of the problem. The bigger issue is the Offset, meaning the distance between the pelvic bone and the femur , was to short. Making the lever to small to support walking. 3of the 4 surgeons suggested I might want to leave it as is , because it had been to long , and might get worse if corrected. The 4th surgeon, reviewed 8 years of medical records before my appointment. First thing he said was " This should never happen with a hip replacement. He then went on to explain that " nobody would have recovered from this hip replacement. "The… lever is too small , and it doesn't allow the glutes to fire . I havent been able to walk without 2 crutches for 8 months. Good news , had surgery to put in the correct size head component, fixing lever issue, 1 month ago. Rapid improvements, im ecstatic. The bottom line is Dr. Goldstein ,there was a time that you were literally refered to as a god in the hip replacement community. I truly believe you decided to put quanity of patients above quality of workmanship. Please STOP this, your decision to operate in this fashion has caused alot of suffering .

You have on your team a very poor, new doctor on your staff. Dr. Brian Schwatz if of the new school, of hands off examine and lets just talk about your next trip. I went with a serious compliant about my right leg and he pushed me off on the PT department and your Health service. He needs more training on how to examine a new doctor and establish a professional attitude and not talk about himself. I was in serious pain and not looking for meds. I would rate him, send him back to school.

Two hour waits for appointments routinely.

I received a hip replacement at the age of 45 because of hip dysplasia and the bedside manner was wonderful, and surgery and recovery was very successful. It's now 8 years later and feeling great. Doing all my activities - light running, cardio classes, power yoga, bicycling. Strongly recommend Dr Goldstein!

Dr. Goldstein left me with one leg shorter than the other, a hip placed incorrectly that dislocated 4 times, and tried to blame it on me. He destroyed one full year of my life and I am still recovering from the repair to his work that was done one year after his original surgery

Well......I am a 73 year old female and Dr Goldstein wanted to do both of my knees at the same time I have since gotten 2 other opinions and both said ABSOLUTELY NO!!! Maybe years ago, but not today Rush was one and Loyola the other. Right before surgery my sister was in A-fib. They cancelled the surgery and sent us home to follow up with Cardiologist. First of all Lutheran General should not have sent us home. Second of all never heard from Dr. Goldstein since. Being a patient of his was not a priority. I guess. To me that's not someone who cares about their patients Would NOT RECOMMEND him and don't think very highly of him. Run away fast!!!!

He is simply the BEST!
