Dr. Wayne Lewis Hofstetter, MD

Having served as a Marine Forward Air Controller in Vietnam, I was subjected to heavy and frequent exposure to AGENT ORANGE. In the fall of 2006 @ age 66 I was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer by Dr. Hofstetter and admitted to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Hofstetter performed an Esophajectomy and Gastric uplift with great precision and skill!!! Having grown up in a medical family I will say W/O hesitation that Dr. Hofstetter is a brilliant surgeon with a top of the line staff! 11 years later I can say W/O a doubt, the Dr. and his very special team saved my life!

My cancer was a very rare type of tracheal cancer and Dr. Hofstetter accurately diagnosed it and chose the surgical procedure that would give me the best outcome. Very pleased with his treatment and with MD Anderson Hospital.

Was operated on for a lung tumor by Dr Hofstetter. I felt confident with him from the first visit. He knows his business and how to treat his patients. A good man.
