Dr. Wayne Charles Maben, MD

I went to the Columbia Memorial Hospital emergency room with severe abdominal pain. After several tests it was determined that I had an intestinal blockage. Dr. Maben and his staff then performed laparoscopic surgery to remove the blockage. Everything turned out great. I was home after a one night stay. This surgery was performed on Nov. 1, 2018 and my intestinal condition has been normal to this day. Kudos to the doctor and his staff.

I was referred to Dr. Maben by a friend that works in the hospital. I was very pleased that he took all the time I needed for explaining the procedure and doing all pre operative precautions such as bloodwork and trying some pre operative solutions first. Surgery was scheduled quickly after and I recovered nicely. I feel great. Thanks Dr. Maben.

Dr Maben is the best. He talks to you in words you understand. And he really listens to you and answers all your questions. His bedside manner is awesome. He really cares. That's hard to find any more. I recommend him to everyone.

After the operation my son was never given an antibiotic. Despite taking him back to Maben's office numerous times because he was not healing, no ever did a swab of the area to see if it was inflected. I had to turn to the Wound Center in Kingston in desperation. Turns out he had 3 different types of bacteria in the incision and was put on Cipro for 3 weeks. He also went back once a week for a cleaning at the Wound Center. As far as I am concerned, Maben's office would have let him die of infection rather than test and give an antibiotic.
